It all starts with curiosity, Extreme Time Dilation




Extreme time dilation, Imagine this, you spend an hour near a black hole on an excursion and when you return your family has aged 20 years, it surely sounds like something from a movie, but it is something very real, according to Einstein and his general relativity, extreme gravity warps space and also time.


The closer you are to the event horizon, the slower time passes for you. If you stood right on the edge of a black hole, floating in perfect balance, you could watch the entire universe age before your eyes, stars would be born and die like fireworks, galaxies would change shape, and maybe you could even witness the heat death of the universe.


All of this in what for you would be a few hours, because the time near a black hole becomes a brutal cosmic and almost philosophical spectacle.
