The collision of the Milky Way against our neighboring galaxy Andromeda has already begun, it is the conclusion of a scientific study carried out from NASA images, it looks not good, we know that Andromeda is a spiral galaxy similar to the Milky Way and it is the one that is closest to us and is approaching us at an impressive speed of about 400,000 km per hour, it has always been said that colliding with it within about 4000 o 5 billion years but according to this article the crash has already begun.

And a study published in the Astrophysical Journal revealed that the gas halos that surround the Galaxies are already colliding, these halos are enormous clouds of gas and dust that surround the Galaxies. Using the Hubbe telescope, they have confirmed something that they did not expect, which is that the Andromeda halo is much larger than the galaxy and extends up to almost 2 million light years, which is half the distance that separates it from the Earth, which is why according to experts, if the Halo of the Milky Way is as extensive as Dromeda's, the two galaxies would have already begun to collide.

This collision is not going to happen overnight, so there is no need to worry, and at the moment the planets and stars of either galaxy are not colliding yet, but simply these outer clouds of gas and dust.
