Tras venir de atrás teniendo todo en contra, Los Navegantes del Magallanes son los nuevos campeones de la Liga Venezolana de Béisbol Profesional, logrando como franquicia su título número 13, venciendo a los Caribes de Anzoátegui en una de las finales más vibrantes y emocionantes de los últimos años, con un apretado resultado final de 3 carreras por 2, este último compromiso y definitorio se llevó a cabo en el Estadio Alfonso “Chico” Carrasquel de la ciudad de Puerto La Cruz. Finalizado este último round de la Gran final, Los Navegantes del Magallanes son los campeones de la temporada 2021-2022 de la LVBP imponiéndose en 7 juegos a Caribes de Anzoátegui con pizarra de 3-2, obteniendo su campeonato número 13 y así convertirse en el representante de Venezuela en la Serie del Caribe 2022, en donde intentaran acabar con la sequía de 12 años para las novenas venezolanas en dicho torneo. Los bucaneros fueron a Puerto la Cruz con la serie en su contra 3-2 y ganaron ambos partidos para titularse, para mí es un justo campeón, ya que fueron líderes en la temporada ganando 32 juegos, empataron en el 1er lugar del Round Robin y hoy coronaron con el título sacando su casta de campeones. Los navegantes lograron acabar con la racha de Anzoátegui, siendo apenas el segundo equipo en las últimas 12 temporadas en volver de un 3-2 de visitante, lograron titularse luego de 8 años casualmente en la ciudad de Puerto la Cruz donde ganaron su último campeonato y con este triunfo Magallanes va arriba en las finales ante Caribes 2 por 1. Siendo la nave turca un equipo sancionado, sin poder contar con sus jugadores del sistema de la MLB es un gran mérito de la gerencia, del núcleo de peloteros que formaron y del cuerpo técnico que conformaron. La clave del triunfo carabobeño para este partido en general fue su relevo que estuvo intratable en los cinco innings que completaron, fue de vital importancia en un juego que termino por solo una carrera, comandados por Robert Zárate, Enderson Franco, Anthony Vizcaya y Bruce Rondón en donde lanzaron 5 innings en donde solo permitieron 3 imparables, otorgaron 3 pasaportes y poncharon a 4 rivales, aguantaron a la poderosa alineación de los anzoatiguenses. Por supuesto no podemos olvidar el jonrón de línea de Ángel Reyes que rompió el empate en el 8vo inning, siendo el 3er cuadrangular en esta serie decisiva para darle la corona a los Navegantes. Y por último el MVP para la nave en esta serie final fue para el estadounidense Cade Gotta, siendo la bujía en los momentos de más apremio para los filibusteros, que respondió siempre en la hora de la chiquita, sin duda merecido premio más valioso para él. Los aborígenes la lucharon hasta el final hasta el último out, un equipo con alma de campeón que luchó desde el comienzo de la temporada, logrando meterse a última hora en la clasificación y estuvo a ley de un batazo para ser bicampeones.
