The Barclays Premier League returned to action after the international break, and there were lots of actions that took place today. Football clubs experienced difficulties in making selections because of injury issues from the international games. Below are the details of Saturday's premier league encounters.

Matchday 8 started with an encounter between Liverpool and Watford. It was a goal feast for Liverpool who opened the scoring within 9 minutes of the game through Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino gave Liverpool the second goal in the 37th minute. The first half ended 0-2 in favor of the Visitors, Liverpool.

Liverpool scored three more goals during the second half and Roberto Firmino had two of the goals to his name alongside Mohammed Sallah. With his first-half goal, Roberto Firmino went home with the Match ball as a hat trick scorer.

Aston Villa hosted Wolves at the Villa Park and despite leading 2-0 in the 60th minute lost the match 2-3. It was a disappointing one for them and a huge win for the Wolves boys.

Manchester United continued their poor premier league campaign with yet a disappointing loss at the king power Stadium. Manchester United opened the scoring in the 19th minute through Mason Greenwood but the host replied in the 31st minute through a stunner from Youri Tielemans. The first half ended 1-1.

In the 78th minute, Caglar Soyuncu gave the Host a 2-1 lead but the celebration was cut short through Marcus Rashford's solo goal. Jamie Vardy returned Lead to Leicester just a minute after Marcus Rashford's goal. Patson Data sealed the victory for Leicester in the 91st minute. Many Manchester United over social media is demanding the sack of their head coach O. Solskjaer.

Manchester City defeated Burnley with 2 goals to nil. Bernardo Silva opened the scoring and Kevin De Bryne sealed the victory for Pep Guardiola men.
Brighton and Hove Albion continued their unbeaten run in the premier league with a goalless scoreline against Norwich City and Leeds United lost to their host Southampton.

Chelsea returned to the top of the table after a suspense-filled away encounter with Brentford. The match ended 0-1 and Edourdo Mendy made sure that the back of his net was fully covered. Brentford pressed harder in the second half having lost the first half to Chelsea through a goal from Ben Chilwell. If not for the efforts of Chelsea Goalie, the match could have been a draw.

I think their coach Ole, needs to work on the team. The fans are already demanding that a new coach should replace him. If he fails to win their next match in the UEFA champions league, He may likely lose his Job
