Melo Signs A Contract That Will Only Make Him Money By January Of Next Year

Carmelo Anthony has finally signed a contract but non-guaranteed. The agreed contract becomes fully guaranteed if not waived by January 7, 2020 and eventually, Carmelo Anthony will make $14,490 per day until January 7 when his contract becomes guaranteed. And then, Carmelo Anthony can make $782,460 before January 7 if he remains on Portland Trail Blazers roster. Honestly, it is good to see him be back on a roster. Maybe this time away was humbling and he can come back as an effective starter in a lesser role or a great bench player - simply because we all know Carmelo can still ball and all he need to do is to take the modest move of humbling himself. I would be sad to see this guy go out the way he was headed because he was so iconic and great fun to watch in his Denver Nuggets / New York Knicks days. He's going to be a great addition to the team Trail Blazers that could make the Western Conference very interesting considering this conference is stacked. I'm very happy for Carmelo Anthony and he truly deserves another shot. Portland is struggling right now and in need of a help and if they are back in winning ways, might as well qualify and just in time for Hassan Whiteside’s recovery. For now, he can be part of the Big Three of Portland; composing Damian Lillard, CJ McCollum and him and perhaps learn to share the ball around the team.
