El 12 de junio de 2009 fui por primera vez a ver UFC Ultimate Fighting Championship, peleas de artes marciales mixtas en vivo en Colonia, Alemania.
La pelea principal fue Wanderlei Silva contra Rich Franklin, quien fue campeón peso medio de UFC.
Desde casi sus inicios de UFC he sido fan de las Artes Marciales Mixtas y tenÃa como objetivo ir a su evento UFC 100 en Las Vegas. Los boletos se agotaron rápidamente y calculando el costo de los boletos y el viaje, el costo de viajar a UFC99 a Alemania era menor, por el alto costo de ser UFC 100 aparte de yano haber entradas.
Asà que decidà ir a la bella ciudad de Köln, Alemania donde también tengo familia y aproveche para visitarlos.
El evento y la producción es impresionante, fue en el mayor estadio de HandBall de la ciudad, un deporte popular, en el Estadio Lanxess caben más de 20,000 personas.
Algunas peleas destacadas fueron Mirko Cro Cop Filipovich uno de los peleadores más letales en Pride FC vs Mustapha Al Turk, Cain Valasquez, quien serÃa campeón Peso Pesado de UFC más adelante vs Cheick Kongo. Y la segunda pelea de Stefan Struve, de los peleadores más altos de UFC, vs Denis Stojnić.
Fueron varias horas de peleas, entretenimiento alrededor del estadio y una gran experiencia. Desde entonces he ido a varias eventos de UFC y siguen siendo un muy buen espectáculo.

On June 12th 2009 I went for the first time to see UFC Ultimate Fighting Championship, mixed martial arts fights live in Cologne, Germany.
The main fight was Wanderlei Silva against Rich Franklin, who used to be UFC Middleweight champion.
Since almost the beginning of the UFC I have been a fan of Mixed Martial Arts and I had the goal of going to their UFC 100 event in Las Vegas. The tickets sold out quickly and calculating the cost of the tickets and the trip, the cost of traveling to UFC 99 to Germany was less, due to the high cost of being UFC 100 apart from no longer having tickets.
So I decided to go to the beautiful city of Köln, Germany where I also have family and visit them.
The event and production is impressive, it was in the largest HandBall stadium in the city, a popular sport there, the Lanxess Stadium can accommodate more than 20,000 people.
Some notable fights were Mirko Cro Cop Filipovich, one of the most lethal fighters in Pride FC vs. Mustapha Al Turk, Cain Valasquez, who would later become UFC Heavyweight champion vs. Cheick Kongo. And the second fight of Stefan Struve, one of the tallest fighters in the UFC, vs. Denis Stojnić.
It was several hours of fights, entertainment around the stadium and a great experience. Since then I have been to several UFC events and they are still a very good show.
