Hello friends of the Sportstalk community, this time I will share with you a brief summary of today's Manchester City match against Watford and the outlook of the Manchester team for the end of the season. City dominated the match with a great performance by Gabriel Jesus who scored 4 goals, just 4 minutes into the match when the Brazilian scored from a pass by the Ukrainian Zinchenko and by the 24th minute the match was already 2-0 with another goal by Gabriel Jesus, this time with a header from a beautiful cross by Kevin De Bruyne. This second goal provoked a reaction from Watford that would lead them to score a goal by Hassane Kmara, at this point of the match it seemed that the scenario was a little complicated for City. The joy of the discount did not last long for Watford as minutes later Rodri made a stunning shot from outside the box to put the game 3-1 and thus would end the first half. The second half passed more or less in the same way and City got two more goals from Gabriel Jesus, one from a penalty in the 49th minute and again from a pass from De Bruyne in a very nice play to get the fourth goal in his personal account and the fifth of the match to seal a very easy victory.
Pep's team played a neat game today against one of the worst performing teams this season, Watford already has their 4th defeat in a row and is starting to say goodbye to the Premier League as they are second last with 22 points and 7 points away from the salvation from relegation, however we can not say that they are already relegated because they still have one last chance to stay as they still have games against their two direct rivals in this fight to save themselves from relegation which are Everton and Burnley.

On the other hand we find a Manchester team that is still very strong in this fight and depends on itself to be champion of the Premier League, also have a fairly accessible fixture where the only team that could represent a tough opponent is West Ham, the city is well on track and despite having some important casualties I do not think the team will lose that first place. The panorama is perhaps a little complicated with the two Champions League games they have for the Semifinals as this could cause fatigue in a squad that is currently a little limited, however Liverpool, the other main contender for the title, has those same two games more for the Champions League so they are on equal terms.

As for the Champions League it seems to me that City have a very good chance to reach the Final again, where I personally think we will see again an English Final like last year.

That's all for this opportunity, let me know in the comments who you think will win the League and who you think will be the finalists of the Champions League.

Anything is possible in the Champions League this year as the normal contenders have already been knocked out. I don't rate Real Madrid as they are not what they used to be so an English Final could quite easily happen.

I agree with you, Real Madrid is not the same as in previous years and I think Liverpool will win against Villareal, but anything can happen so we will have to wait!

Poor Watford, they're such a yoyo team. City loves playing Watford! I always recollect them smashing em

Certainly one of City's favorite victims, I can easily remember several times they have beaten them, 2 years ago they crushed them 8-0.

Not only Jesus is ruthless , the city team as a whole is such a lethal one . An all English final at the CL is really not far fetched. Real Madrid won’t be an easy ride for city though , that I know of .

I agree with you, city is a fierce team, I also believe that it will not be easy against Real Madrid but I think that city is a better team nowadays. in the end anything can happen in the Champions league so we will see.

City continue to keep their focus on the EPL very high. However, it is still not clear that they'll lift the trophy.

you are right, it is not yet clear that they are the Champions but it seems to me that they have everything on their side to be it.

I knew City won't slow down and they have better run in than Liverpool. They have squad depth too and they would keep fighting to stay at the top. Let's see what Liverpool would do against Everton today.

They have a deep squad and their fixture is very accessible and they have less games to play than liverpool who still have to play the final of the Fa Cup so they have the advantage and everything on their side to be champions although it is the Premier League and we know that anything can happen so we just have to wait !

Watford came with knife to a gun fight and they got riddled with bullet holes. Gabriel Jesus got his 2nd 4 goals for City. Manchester City deserved it.

Watford faced City at the wrong time of the season while they're fighting to save their own lives. The scoreline wasn't surprising.

City are definitely favorites for the UCL. Their hunger may be the only distinguishing factor between them and Real Madrid, but the Spanish giants won't go down without a fight.

Poor Watford, City has crushed them on many occasions in recent years, I think that after today's game they will have many things to correct for the second leg, it seems to me that they lacked firmness in defense and in Madrid they cannot afford this.
