Super Eagles And Their Quest For Afcon Qualification

The African Cup of Nations qualifiers continues.
The super eagles of Nigeria were looking to come back to winning ways after failing to qualify for the world cup, following a 1-1 draw with Ghana on home soil.
Things however turned sour for the three time African champion after losing 1-0 to the Djurtus of Guinea Bissau.

Mama Balde’s first-half goal gave Guinea-Bissau the victory over Nigeria at the Abuja National Stadium.

The result means Guinea-Bissau are now on top of Group A with 7 points from three games, while Nigeria are in second position with 6 points from the same number of games.
Judging from the game I watched,
It's really hard to find too many positives after a disastrous home defeat for Nigeria against Guinea-Bissau in Friday's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The goal keeper,Francis Uzoho, vowed to keep a clean sheet if selected. However,he didn't keep to his words.
Calvin Bassey looked uncomfortable to me,playing such a high line.
Kelvin Akpoguma was substituted prematurely as a result of a head injury. Before then, his positioning was questionable.
Osayi Samuel,I would say was our best defender in that match. He always looked to make something happen.
Zaidu Sanusi, appeared sluggish and uncreative except for one late cross to Paul Onuachu that caused a worry or two.
Wilfred Ndidi, was just unresponsive throughout the match, causing problems for the centre backs.I must say,he was just a shadow of his former self, probably my least rated player for the match.
Alex Iwobi, lacked concentration, made a lot of wayward passes.
Kelechi Iheanacho, just couldn't create anything good, couldn't partner up with Osimhen.
Samuel Chukwueze, arguably our best forwarder for the match, looked to make something happen and gave Guinea Bissau defenders a scare but needs to work on his finishing really.
Ademola Lookman, couldn't supply crosses, didn't make the opposing defenders stand on their toes.
Victor Osimhen, couldn't bring that Napoli flair to the game but he didn't do badly overall.
Moses Simon, missed Nigeria's chance to draw level but he performed better than lookman,no doubt.
Paul Onuachu, his best chance came from Zaidu's cross but unfortunately,he couldn't put it past the keeper.
Semi Ajayi, replaced the injured Akpoguma and did a good job replacing him.
Ahmed Musa, came on too late to make a difference.
Some changes need to be made in the reverse fixture in order for the super eagles of Nigeria to get the result they crave.
Francis Uzoho remains in between the sticks,Semi Ajayi and Calvin Bassey, pair in centre back,Zaidu Sanusi and Osayi Samuel as wing backs,Wilfred Ndidi as defensive midfielders,Frank onyeka and Alex Iwobi as central midfielders,Samuel Chukwueze as right wing forward,Victor Osimhen as centre forward and Moses Simon as left wing forward.I would opt for a 433 formation.Thats my honest opinion, what do you think?

I didn’t get to watch the match but I saw the trolls on twitter. We Ghanaians made a lot of fun of the loss.😅

Just reading through your post made me realize there are so many good talents I even forgot of. Lookman, Iwobi, Iheanacho, Chukwueze, Oshimhen, and the others are undoubtedly very good.

I still have belief Nigeria will qualify. The way you played before you got knocked out by Ghana was too good to be a one time thing.
