Marc Stoinis signs to remain with the Melbourne Stars for three more years

With astute signings in store for the Melbourne Stars, dynamic paceman and allrounder Marcus Stoinis has committed to his hometown franchise by signing a lucrative three-year deal. This decision guarantees that he will remain a member of the Stars through to conclusion BBL16 in 2026-7, defacto giving him being one of the main players on his lineup.

After gaining attention from other BBL clubs including Scorchers of Perth, Stoinis chose to remain the Stars’ first XI ,where he has been a tower since joining in 2013-14. Stoinis has played 98 matches for the Stars, and is poised to join an exclusive group of players list with his milestone next appearance being much coveted by him – as he too could emerge second in line after Glenn Maxwell who actually attained the century club record from rest.

With Maxwell’s resignation as captain, the issue of possible promotion stonis into headship within stars is brought to lips. His skill set and offerings make him a very strong candidate to lead the team in his future.

Despite such loyalty to the Stars, Stoinis remains determined for his international career. Chosen as a member of the T20I squad for West Indies series, he looks to nail down his place in Australia’s probable team in another upcoming World Cup. Yet Stoinis implied that T20 franchise cricket can be more important in the forthcoming years as he has recently been omitted from the ODI squad.

He currently showcasing his talent in the different T20 leagues around the world, Stoinis recently playeds SA cricket at Durban’ Super Giants who partooked MLC again for San Francisco Unicorns. His varied performances entail his significance not only for the Melbourne Stars but also at T20 internationally.
