A magnificent bowling display by Saumy Pandey firmed India’s position in the Under-19 World Cup game which took place in Bloemfontein against Bangladesh. Although Maruf Mridha’s five wicket haul restricted India to 251 for 7 Pandey managed an ability of four-fours wrapping Bangladesh at a score of mere hundred sixty and seven. Pandey displayed his brilliance in economical bowling against Mohammad Shihab James who was the highest scorer with 54.

Another game saw the Pakistan Under-19s win by 183 runs against Afghanistan under nineteenth in East London. Shanzaib Khan’s 106 off those overs set up Pakistan to post a competitive total of 284 for the loss of nine wickets. Afghanistan was limited to 103 in reply, thanks to Ubaid Shah and Mohammad Zeeshan’s combined efforts. Ubaid played a vital role given that he is the brother of Naseem Shah, whois famous.

England Under-19s started their campaign with a straightforward seven wicket win over Scotlandians in Potchefstroom.
