Anthems from EPL Clubs; Three Tunes Tuesday.

Hello, it's three tunes day. C'mon, let's have a blast with this.

For the record, #ttt (Three Tunes Tuesday) is an ongoing initiative which is organised by @ablaze for all music lovers. Catch the full gist about that HERE.

In today's edition of Three Tunes Tuesday, I will be doing something different with the songs that will make it to my playlist. For the record, I've shared Nigerian songs on #ttt and I've also shared a lot of foreign songs including soundtracks from Kdramas. Well, this is something new.

I got a suggestion last week about sharing songs related to football and, to be fair with y'all, it never crossed my mind to give that a try until I got that suggestion. Yeah, I'm a big fan of the game and I have a lot of football-related songs which I enjoy listening to.

In this edition of #ttt, I decided to share three club anthems of top football clubs in England. Since I'm a Liverpudlian and a big fan of the English Premier League, it sure isn't a surprise that I'm picking my three tunes from the league.

Check them out;

1. Liverpool Anthem – You’ll never walk alone

I've been a Liverpool fan since the day I started watching club football and I've been through thick and thin with this club. It hasn't been an easy ride for us and there have been times when we doubted the performance of the team for several reasons, but in all these years, I always sing this anthem with pride.

"You'll Never Walk Alone"

Those are words we need to replay in everything we are doing. It is the same word that has been featured on the club's crest since antiquity. The song is heart-warming and the lyrics are a reminder that even if we are walking through a storm, we will never walk alone.

2. Chelsea Anthem – Blue is the colour

I'm not a Chelsea fan and I don't particularly like getting into a banter with them lots. Haha. They are foul-mouthed. Regardless of all that, it still doesn't take away the fact that Chelsea is a giant in English football and their fanbase is one of the biggest in the world.

There was this radio station I usually listen to whenever I'm in the Eastern part of Nigeria. It's a sports station and they play this anthem whenever Chelsea has a game. I silently vibe to the sounds because... Who wouldn't? Haha. It's a nice jam.

3. Manchester United Anthem – Glory Glory Manchester United

Manchester United is a club that prides itself as a well-decorated club with 66 trophies to its name. They are only second to Liverpool (68) in this regard and it is the club that has loads of legendary names in its history.

You need to hear a native lad sing this song with those adorable Manchester accents. Haha. It's to die for. This song on its own is already enjoyable, but try to listen to a passionate Manchester United fan sing this after they just won a game of football. Haha. It will give you an electrifying feeling.

This is the end of the road for me in this edition of three tunes Tuesday. Are you a football fan? Do you love the anthem of your football club? Feel free to share that with us.

I’ve got some songs about Arsenal if you like but they do come with a parental advisory warning

Hahah... Is it one of those wild Chants that come from their stands during games?

English fans have the wildest chants. I always laugh out loud whenever I come across those. Haha.

I would love to get the one for Arsenal.

Lolzzzzz... Chelsea are not sleeping on this one. Their anthem is thrilling and quite intimidating when their fans sing it out loud before an intense Home game. Haha.

Glad to know you are one of the Chelsea fans onboard. Hehe. And someone should already be having a good night rest. Lolz.

Hahah... Yeah. That's right on point.

Also, there is a side in Anfield called the Kop end of the stadium. Haha. Each side of our stadium actually has a name given to it.

I just can't wait to sit right there and watch the lads lift a trophy. Haha

Soon😭😭

We were a bit off this season, but I have a good feeling for the next.
Lots of changes in the team lines now so we're kind of like the odd balls🥴

I predict a trophy in our shed in 2024 🌚

Heheh... We were very off this season. It was so weird and we knew it's because a lot of people suffered long term injuries that lasted for 4-6 months, but after series of loss, we just couldn't bring ourselves to make any excuses.

It was a rough season, but things seems to be looking good recently. The major players are back from injury and they are scoring goals for fun. Also, I don't hear anyone talking trash about Trent ever since he started playing in midfield. Haha.

I'm already preparing to watch our game this night; 7:45.

Football songs, very good. As an Arsenal fan, I would like to go to Anfield one day for a champions league match to see and hear that song being sung, it does sound pretty amazing on TV in fairness. I have been to four Old Firm derbies and that atmosphere is incredible too..

Exactly. I think it's the dream of football fans to visit their home stadium and also visit as many stadiums as possible.
