Arsenal 3 - 1 Liverpool; A humbling outing for Liverpool.

Football hits hard when you go into a game with high expectations. That's exactly what the game that was played last night between Arsenal and Liverpool did to football fans. Wow! If you are an Arsenal fan, you probably expected something out of the game. But Liverpool fans and most neutral fans believe the 3 points is there for Liverpool to take and drag Arsenal through the mud.

Well, we've gone through the game and gone through all the emotions. I didn't get to write this review after the game last night because I didn't have the stomach to write an unbiased review after seeing Liverpool get rattled in all ways by Arsenal. Haha. I'm not gonna lie... Arsenal bossed the game from start to finish.

Arsenal 3 - 1 Liverpool.

The build-up to this match was so intense that Arsenal players rushed into Liverpool's half just before the whistle was blown for Kick-off. For some reason, I didn't read that as a threat. I had a good laugh when I saw that and even dropped some banter to go with it. The viewing center where I went to watch the game was packed. We had almost 150 people in attendance and everyone was full of anticipation for what was to come.

Arsenal players didn't mess around. They had legs all over the field and they asked important questions with their series of attacking attempt. Their successful attempt to break Liverpool's defense came very early through a goal from Saka. Havertz had a 1v1 opportunity but couldn't beat Alisson. However, Saka capitalized on the rebound and gave Arsenal the first goal in the 14th minute of the game.

For the majority of the first half, it was obvious that Bradley and Nunez were missed. Bradley has stepped into that RB position since this year and the young lad has been impressive. He lost his Dad over the weekend and had to be taken off the matchday squad so he could mourn peacefully. We also missed Salah, but we just bullied Chelsea in mid-week without Salah. So, I can't cry about that.

Arsenal won the first-half battle. They did everything right and could have won the game in that half if they finished their chances properly. As for Liverpool, we didn't get any shot on target in that dreadful half but we still got a perfect ending. Just before the first half came to an end, Arsenal scored an own-goal and the half ended as a 1 - 1 draw for both sides.

Liverpool surely can't complain about that scoreline, but their performance in that half was SHOCKING.

The first 10 minutes of the second half started differently for Liverpool. They made multiple attempts at the beginning of the second half, but Arsenal stayed tight at the back. They took in the pressure from Liverpool and smoothly transitioned to attack. This time around, Arsenal's attack looked more threatening. Martinelli caught Trent out of position too many times.

The second and third goals that were scored by Arsenal came from the brilliance of Martinelli and Trossard. You can also argue that Alisson made the work easier for the day. I'm sure Alisson will look back at his performance in that game with so much displeasure. Same as VVD. Virgil doesn't usually put a foot wrong, but yesterday was an off-day for him too.

Anthony Taylor though... The referee didn't allow any tackle to fly under his watch. He was very generous with his booking and Konate ended up getting sent off after getting two yellow cards in the game. Some people would like to say that the red card was underserved or that Liverpool lost because of that. I know I'm not one of those.

We didn't deserve to get anything out of that game.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.

Twas tough to watch, Salah was greatly missed in this match.

The winning streak was good though yet the loss has come.
Our only hope now is if mancity lose or draw one of their matches now (which doesn't look likely)

Hopefully we would pick ourselves up from this beat down.

True. Salah was missed in the game and the right side of the pitch for Liverpool was devoured by Arsenal. Elliot couldn't make any difference upfront and Trent was always caught off position at the back.

Having Salah back will surely do a lot of good for Liverpool.

You clearly are unbiased with your views as regards the match, it wasnt just Liverpool's day yesterday and Arsenal got the memo and did the needful. It was indeed a solid display from the Gunners . I feel the title race is now officially opened , or what do you think my friend?

True. The title race is open and it's obvious that Man City has come into the part of the season where they are ready to go unbeaten for 10 games. Haha

Any other club that wants to compete has to step up and grind out ways at all cost

Haha... That's really cool. Football in general is always the same. But, depending on the league, the name of the Clubs, name of players and name of the officials will always be different. Hehe.

Well Done, Jelly.
