Napoli 4 - 1 Liverpool: Another distasteful display from the Reds.

Just before the memories start to fade, I feel like I need to write about the shambolic display we saw from Liverpool in that game that was played against Napoli.

Goodness me! This season keeps getting worse for us. Just when you think that there is a reason to believe in the boys and what they are capable of doing, they make you look like a fool. Haha.

We've been getting wave after wave of very poor results this season.

The one I saw yesterday was horrendous, poor, annoying, and shameful... What else do you want to say about that? The bottom line is that the Liverpool that turned up against Napoli is the worst version of Liverpool I have seen in recent years.

Now, we need to have a chat about what happened in Naples last night. I was so gutted throughout the 90 minutes of the game.

I wrote a preview of that game and I was so fearful going into that fixture because I know for a fact that Liverpool has been in all sorts of shit this season. I'm not even going to make a case or an excuse for them. Not today.

Look at the scoring chart from that game

Napoli 4 - 1 Liverpool

Anyone that watched this game can attest to the fact that the final scoreline is not a true representation of what transpired in that game.

We ended the first half with 3 goals deficit. In that same half, Napoli missed a penalty and one of their goals was cancelled for offside. VVD also made a very nice clearance. So, we could have easily finished the first half with 5 goals deficit. And we are playing Napoli, not Manchester City. That's awful!

I imagined that Liverpool will be on the receiving end of Napoli's masterclass and I genuinely wanted to be proved wrong. Sadly, the whole game ended as a disgrace. We got schooled by Napoli. It would have been more interesting if this was against Barcelona or Manchester United.

Time to give MOTM (man of the match) to the most awful players on the pitch.

People are making a case for Diaz as the best man on the pitch for Liverpool. I'm not surprised about this because we have a knack for hyping a goalscorer, but I'm not having any of that. Every freaking player that started today's game for Liverpool was awful to the tee.

All of them need to trek back to Merseyside and look at themselves in the mirror. But then, even when the team messed up so badly, some people deserve a crown for being the absolute worst player on the pitch;

1. Joel Gomez: I've got no words to describe the awful performance I saw from this lad. Gomez is such a young player with very good talent, but he has been very poor throughout this season. After the performance I saw from him today, I genuinely don't think he will be starting a game for Liverpool for the rest of this season.

2. James Milner: I'm always fascinated with Milner's work rate and I love his passion for the game, but he has no business starting a competitive game for Liverpool. The dude should be in Sunday league. Unfortunately, he's usually the first to get a contract renewal offer every freaking season.

3. Mo Salah: 'Never write off Mo' is something I will even say in my sleep, but the truth is that Mo had an off-day in that game. I have never been more excited to see him get subbed off so early in a game. I won't even mind not seeing him in the starting line-up in our next game.

4. Others: Every freaking player that started the game had a very bad game. TAA, VVD, Robbo, Firmino... Name them. No exception!

I can go on and on, but let's wrap this shitshow.

Now, I can sleep in peace and wake up with the hope of seeing a different kinda Liverpool in the game that will be played this weekend.

Lemme know your thoughts on this;

Who was the worst player on the pitch for Liverpool?

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

I didn't watch the match, I knew Liverpool would have an issue with the match judging by Jurgen Klopp approach to the match. Every team that comes to the Champions League can't be underrated and the team is not even in the best shape at the moment.

It was a very horrible game to watch. The mess started immediately the first whistle was blown. Milner single handedly gave them two goal scoring opportunities within the first 10 minutes of the game.

Liverpool are in crisis. If we play Manchester City in this current form, it will be a sore game to watch

I just hope things turn around with the team, it would hurt me to see them give terrible performances like this week in week out.

Hopefully. I really hope so. Thiago played the last few minutes of the game but has the best performance and also won the most tackle compared to every other player in the pitch.

It's such a shame that we can't be sure of him playing 5 games in a row with tearing a muscle. Let's see how the season unfolds. We will still qualify from this group.

I am certain we will, it is too early to write the team off. We are too big to crash out and Klopp will definitely talk some senses in the players head after that disappointing performance they gave in Italy.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

And you were gloating about Rangers taking a battering, at least we know we are shite and going to get 0 points, but Liverpool haha Salah no goals in his last 7 yes SEVEN champions league games.
Klopp I hear there is a vacancy at Chelsea if you are quick.

Haha... The whole team wedd shambles in that game. And all these are happening off the back of the sack of Tuchel. Lolz.

Liverpool's board won't consider sacking Klopp at the moment, but we need a really good fix to this current issue

Klopp is safe, although I think we are in sacking season already. Rumours are rife that our one is getting the sack, bloody ridiculous.

It's so surprising to me that Liverpool became an underdog to Napoli. I want to believe that Liverpool are going to do better as time passes by

It's so shameful. Liverpool were completely outclassed from the first minute of the game and it's always a sore sight to watch a game like that.

Hi bro,
Poor result for Liverpool. But as big teams would have it, they usually bounce back with fire. All those players have not suddenly become garbage.

My concern is, even the fans of clubs in this group don't even know the group well. The media has made folks think Group C, is the toughest group. Look at a Rangers supporter in @tengolotodo calling his team shit for example.
Group A is the THE REAL 'GROUP OF DEATH',you can check that out.

This was decided even before any of the matches were played. Rangers will also bounce back better. It's the group of this group stage.

Cheers

Yeah. The problem at the moment is that Rangers are not close to their best. Liverpool are absolute shambles. Napoli won convincingly and they had to change all their front 3 before the 70th minute of the game, but on a very good day, Napoli would have messed liverpool up in a really good way.

It's also funny how each of the teams in group A have very good Home record in European competition. Even a vintage liverpool team will have to squeeze out win against any of these teams when we play away from home.

This season is compact. World Cup is around the corner and a each of these teams need to get back to their best form ASAP.

This group is tricky to be fair. There is going to be a very close margin between those that moves into round of 16 and those that gets shipped into Europa league.

I wasn't expecting this scoreline. It could have been more than 4 goals thanks to the penalty save and Van Djik's last ditch stop on the line. Liverpool were torn apart and I was left in shock.

It was indeed a shocking performance. We just didn't seem to get it right at all.

I wonder how this weekend will be for us

Wolves can be tricky and I hope Liverpool bounce back with Wolves.

Exactly what I said. The attack, defense and midfield have been awful

Makes me wonder how Liverpool want to survive this season.
Klopp really need to save this team now before it gets worse beyond repair and no ucl next season.

Falling out of UCL will be a very sad outcome and that's pretty much where we are heading because we are not even looking good enough to make top 4 this season.
