The liverpool we saw in gameweek 4...

Wow. What a game week!

Arsenal is still adding more wins to their streak. Manchester City convincingly came from behind to win, again! Manchester United got th maximum point again. And... Liverpool finally got their very first win of the season.

What a win for Liverpool. The Liverpool that played in gameweek 4 is the Liverpool we want to see week-in week-out.

pexels-tembela-bohle-1884574.jpg

A lot of Liverpool fans went into the game hoping for three points but by the end of the game, the only disappointment we had is that we couldn't score up to 10 goals. Haha. What a twist.

As you already know, it has not been the best start of the season for Liverpool and we can talk about that for as long as we want, but at this very moment, I feel we just need to move on from that. It's time to look forward to more wins.

Yesterday's game against Bournemouth

That game was truly sensational, very intense and a joy to watch. I know it can be hard to admit that Liverpool is back to their best because we played the worst club in the League at the moment.

Poor old Bournemouth! They have already played against Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool in their first couple of games this season. Conceded 16 goals from those 3 fixtures without scoring any goal.

At a point in the game with Liverpool, you really can't help but feel sorry for all the stunts of Bournemouth's shot-stopper as he threw himself at everything that came his way. He faced 12 shots on target, but only managed to save 25% of those.

Below are the goalscoring stats from that game.

Screenshot_20220828-204435.png

Firmino who is supposed to be 'a finished/useless player' proved that he still has so much to offer. The lad was unstoppable in that game. He got a hat trick of assists plus two goals.

It was also exciting to see the young lads, both Elliot and Carvalho, score their first premier league goal in a Liverpool shirt. I already know they have it in them, but I never expected to see both of them scoring in the same match. Haha.

One of the things I find funny in this whole 9 - 0 trashing of Bournemouth is that Salah was not directly or indirectly involved in any of the ghosts. No goal and no assist for the lad. Haha. He was also laughing at himself when he missed a couple of sitters.

In a nutshell, that game was exciting.

For the record, we have a mid-week fixture against Newcastle, the new giant Slayer in EPL. I can't wait to see how that game will be.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

I was blown away by Liverpool's performance yesterday, Diaz, Carvalho, Firmino, Arnold, and every player had an impact. That was teamwork and I felt bad Salah didn't get one despite the opportunity, Nunez would have had a hat trick if he was the match.

I saw him chatting with Thiago and he must have said, I blew up my chances of getting lots of goals.

Hahaha... Nunez really missed a good opportunity in yesterday's game and also in the one we played against Manchester United.

I'm so excited to know that his time by the sideline is already coming to an end and I'm sure he will come with a different attitude now that he has felt the top side of being a player in EPL.

Our next game is on Wednesday against Newcastle and these guys have been a tough opponent this season. I'm looking forward to that game.

Yeah, I believe he has learned his lesson, Newcastle will collected wotowoto. The defense is organized and I hope they keep up with that performance we saw last with, future looks bright for Carvalho... What do you think?

Sure bro. Carvalho is getting into the team and he is adjusting really well.

He came into the last 3 games when we were on the losing side. The pressure that goes with that is hard to deal with especially in a club like liverpool.

But in yesterday's game, he joined when we were winning. He didn't have any pressure to perform any magic. He just played his game and that was a joy to watch. I'm so glad for the guy. Haha

Forget that match yesterday was the highlight of my week. Man UTD fans were screaming about their 2-1. Our 9-0 just announced to the whole league we're coming in red hot.

Hahaha... Diaz is really a top banger for us. That guy has so many things to offer and his energy is unreal.

I can still recall the games he played for us last season. Because of his high intense attacking style, he usually gets tired within 60 minutes. But now, dude is going at full gear for the full 90 minutes. Haha.

This weekend was exciting. Wednesday's fixture will also be a joy to watch. After that, Nunez will get back into the team.

Actually I think Diaz is one of our best right now. If he could increase his stamina we may have a new Mané on our hands😂😂

His intensity suits Liverpool's playing style and this is something we really need. Haha

Decent performance from Liverpool. They ripped Bournemouth apart, which was interesting. Let's see how they perform against a more disciplined Newcastle on Wednesday.

If I come across Salah before Wednesday I will possibly slap him for serving blanks and having less points than substitutes Carvalho and Tsimikas. He got a 6/10 ratings from SkySports, it should've been 2.1/10.

Yeah Man. I think the win against Bournemouth is a good start but a more decent test will be in the game against Newcastle.

This current Newcastle squad has been a giant slayer this season and they know how to make things hard against the big boys.

I'm looking forward to Liverpool's performance in that game. Haha.

As for Salah, he was almost invisible in that game. The only time you will see him is when he misses all those sitters. Haha.

Another terrible performance from Salah, and I'll comfortably swap him for Diaz. I'll watch the Liverpool-Newcastle game from the start. I need to watch Diaz once again to be sure swapping him for Salah won't lead to regrets.

I have already held onto Salah since gameweek 1 till gameweek 4. I know Salah can do wonders, but I sold him in that game and got Diaz.

Once this midweek game starts, I will bring Nunez into my team. It adds more dynamics to my chances of getting points.

Whenever Salah is back in form, we will know how to fit him in again. Haha

I'm hoping my dear Salah will punish you heavily for writing him off this early by pummeling Newcastle with an hat-trick on Wednesday.😂😂😂

Lol... Please oooooo. I moved VVD and Sterling out of my team for gameweek 4. Haha. I even had to sacrifice 4 points for that, but these two lads ended up having their best game of the season 😂.

It's insane bro. This FPL stuff is so so so tricky

0

FPL is some crazy stuff, you just don't know what will happen. I swapped Martinelli for Neto just 5 mins away from GW1 deadline. Martinelli scored and assisted in the first two games, Neto is yet to have a single assist in four GW. Before GW3, I swapped Rashford for Martinelli, we both know how that ended.

0

avatar

Hahaha... It's so crazy bro.

With the World Cup already on the way and Champions League also in view, there will be a time when the FPL points will get super unpredictable. Haha.

0

0.000
avatar

That permutation starts from next week when the Champions League resumes. A lot of popular FPL players go chop bench.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Haha... That will lead to do many headache for FPL managers. Lolz. The likes of Manchester City can come to a game with an entirely different XI and still grind out wins

0
0
0.000
avatar

That's what we call 'Pep Roulette' in FPL parlance. Guardiola is the most notorious manager for rotation in the history of EPL. You can't run from his players, you can't escape his rotations policy. That guy na problem.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Hahahah.... I can already imagine how it will be. Lolz. I'm sure Klopp would also like to do that but he does not have the squad depth especially this season. Haha.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Klopp does that too, but on a subtle note. The four players immune to rotation are Salah, Arnold, Van Dijk and Alisson. Even at that they'll still miss maybe 2-4 of the 38 games.

0
0
0.000
avatar

With this current squad we have, I'm looking forward to see how he will rotate the squad. Haha.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Probably the same like that of last season. In attack, Diaz and Mane played from the right; Firmino, Jota and Origi through the middle. Mane and Origi gave way for Carvalho and Nunez. Salah has no natural replacement. He may try Elliot in his stead but the chances are slim.

In defence, Tsimikas for Robertson; Joe Gomez for TAA; Matip and Konate will rotate, with Van Dijk the only constant. Liverpool's central midfielders are useless to the FPL cause so I won't bother about them.

0
0
0.000
avatar

If everyone can be injury-free, it will be of great help for us. But if this injury crises lingers on for too long, the current squad we have do not really have decent depth.

Last season, we had a Miniamino and Origi who carried us in Cup games. This time around, we don't have anyone like that.

Like play, this transfer window is already closing. Haha. We will have to work with who we have.

Also, I like how you mentioned Tsimikas. Many people who do not know much about liverpool are yet to see what that guy brings to the table. Every single time I've seen him play, he gives his best attacking wise and defensively. He almost made a move to Juventus this window, but I'm glad he decided to stay with us. Haha.

0
0
0.000
avatar

Without injury, Diaz and Carvalho will play from the left, Firmino and Nunez from the middle, Salah from the right. Jota is the only guy that can play across all three positions. That's still a very good attack.

As for Tsimikas, the dude is very good. I was actually hoping Klopp will play him on the left of the midfield three if Keita and Thiago doesn't recover on time. He can always deliver raking passes and crosses from that position just after the midfield mark. That's probably the type of cross to deal with. That's what Arnold has mastered, delivering crosses from deep.

Yeah man. The win was a very convincing one but it's not enough for us to overlook the midfield crisis we are having at the moment.

Even if all our midfielders are back on track, we still need another solid midfielder who can add depth and creativity to the team

I was thinking you guys could go back for Coutinho though.

The Coutinho deal has more to do with Klopp and his policy.

He has this record of not getting back players that leaves his squad. Even Wijnaldum wanted to come back, but Klopp won't have him.

Klopp is also the type that does not buy any player from a team he coached previously. If not, we would have had Aubameyang in our team when Klopp left Dortmund. Hehe.
