The stage is set for #LIVNEW - Feel the surge of anticipation.

(Edited)

One of the best feeling of each weekend is to sit down and watch football non-stop. It gets better when you support a team that trashes opponents 9 - 0. Haha.

I'm allowed to take the piss, ain't I?

Everything about it is awesome. And now, we have mid-week games to spice up the week.

Lolz. I love it!

Since we have mid-week games, it's only right for me to update the Sports Talk Community with a post in anticipation of what is underway. Liverpool will be back in action tonight.

On a very good day, a game between Liverpool and Newcastle is never something I will be afraid of, but this season has been a dicey one for Liverpool. Newcastle on the other hand has been on a high horse. Lolz.

We will preview today's games in a minute, but let's check the scores from yesterday's games.

Screenshot_20220831-164220.png

So many games were played yesterday, but we will ignore all of those and focus on Chelsea.

What was that? Haha. How on earth did Chelsea bottle their lead against this current Southampton side? Wonders shall never end in this footballing world.

It gets weirder if you consider the fact that Chelsea entered that game off the back of the win they got over the weekend with 10 men against 11. Chelsea fans are asking questions about that performance. I hope they find an answer.

Now, let's look at today's games;

Screenshot_20220831-165400.png

Look at that. Haha. Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Liverpool will all be playing tonight. I'm already filled with a surge of anticipation. I'm impatiently counting down to the kick-off time for these games.

Which of these games will you be focusing on? Which of them do you think will be more interesting to watch?

For me, it's Liverpool... All day, every day. Haha. I know I'm being biased there. The good thing is that being biased at this level is part of the game.

This is a game that can completely change the trajectory of how Liverpool has been rated this season. It is a real test for us and the whole 3 points are up for grab, but I know that we can still come out of that game with just 1 point or no point at all.

I hope we get the best result from this game and I've already had an interesting chat with @mckane about the possible line-up Liverpool will be working with today and for the rest of the season.

We've got a lot of players on the sideline because of injury. Hopefully, these guys can sort themselves out and be fit for the rest of the season.

Nonetheless, a win for Liverpool is what I'm expecting. I hope Diaz gets to score. It will also be nice to see some goal involvement from TAA. 3 - 0 win in favour of Liverpool will be a perfect scoreline.

See yaaaa ✌️

I'm focusing on Liverpool's game too but it's because i captained Salah in my FPL 🤣. I hope he scores this time around and of course Arnold provide an assist or two.

Lolzzzzz... Salah have been on my team for so long. Since gameweek 1. I decided to remove him for this game week and I hope he won't make me pay for making that decision 😂.

I have TAA and Diaz. Bought Nunez yesterday for next gameweek

I picked Haaland as my captain before but i listened to Pep’s press conference where he said due to the busy schedule, Haalnd will be rested in some matches, i then remember the saying "When you’re confused and you don’t know who to captain, pick Salah".
I have Diaz and TAA too, i hope they all justify my selection.

Yeah. The thing with Manchester City is that they have capable legs in positions so anyone can be rested especially now that we are getting into the busy moment of the season.

Midweek fixtures are already being played and Champions League fixtures are on the way. Haha. I also need to bring in Haaland into my team but it may take up to 3 game weeks for me to raise enough money for that without having to do double transfer in a gameweek. Haha.

Let's see how Liverpool perform tonight. !PIZZA

It's really looking dirty for Liverpool tonight again.

It's still looking dirty. This game got me so annoyed for several reasons. I guess it's really going to be a long season

Got lucky tonight and your expectations are way too high knowing the injury crisis the club has. A win is a win right now and Liverpool are not a strong team at the moment and need time to get their players back.

I left the TV at the last second of the game and just at that very moment, the whole world started screaming Carvalho. Haha. That got me so pissed.

We are up for a very crappy season. I need to see how the next game will be with Nunez and Matip back to the squad.

Halland may well breaking premier league goalscoring record this season of he remains fit for the most part of the season. The guy is on fire. He is unstoppable. Hahah.

Arsenal are enjoying themselves. They did so well on the ball yesterday. It was a joy to watch.

Liverpool on the other hand were asleep. They finally woke up in the second half. This will be a hot season for us. Haha

Newcastle will be incredibly difficult to beat this season, those guys are well drilled. If Isak's second goal wasn't chalked off their is no way Liverpool is getting back from two goals down. To think they were this dangerous without Maximin is scary enough. I'm already dreading the day Man U get to play them.

It's interesting to see how their held it up until the last minute of the game despite the number of first team players that were missing in that game.

This Newcastle side are well grinded. They also have a way of frustrating opponents with their time wasting. Haha. If they ever get to score first, losing the game will be a hard one for them.

Seriously, I've always love Eddie Howe's management style. That guy is good.

With the kind of money Newcastle has, they will be tussling for the top 6 in 5 years time. I won't be surprised if they hire a top manager like Mourinho in two years time. They have the money.

Yes ooooo. People don't really notice it but Newcastle are very ambitious.

They have a board that is ready to splash the money and they have been splashing it so well with the number of players they are adding to their team. Haha

Man City started this way, gradually accumulating established football talents. Their trajectory changed when they managed to convince a top class manager, Roberto Mancini, to join them. They had Mark Hughes when the Saudi guys bought the club. In line with that, Newcastle will outgrow Howe and will sack him when it's time to move to the next level. Then, we will no longer have top 6, but top 7.

Lolzzzzz... This is one of the things I love about EPL. You can see a lot of teams which are ambitious. It makes the league more competitive.

We have the big boys, but even the big boys knows that every game has a tricky side to it. Haha.

I'm looking forward to the games that will be played this weekend. They will be a joy to watch

EPL is the hot spot of football investment, that's where most football money goes. For context, EPL teams spent £1.9B on transfers this summer, same amount the other four leagues combined have spent.

Players want EPL because the whole world will know them, and they'll get ridiculous money for that. Antony's wage at Ajax was £19,000, at Man U he'll collect £200,000. Abeg, if na u, won't you go on strike to get the move? And one person was blasting the boy for going on strike o.

I was surprised to see Renan Lodi at Nottingham Forest against Man City. That dude scored the winning goal for Atletico to knock Man U out of UCL last season. Why is a regular starter at Atletico swapping a Champions League team for a newly promoted one? Money! Fame! British media!
