The Transfer Window - Who is the best signing so far?

Many things are going on this transfer window and we need to get into the nitty-gritty of it to find the latest update from the 100 clubs in the top 5 leagues in Europe.

100 what? Haha... Scratch that! Who has the time for that?

It's really interesting to get all the transfer updates buzzing in my notification. Just when you think you've heard it all, you start seeing names like Vecino, Radu, Idasiak, Sgarbi and hundreds of other names. Believe me, some of these names are alien to me. Haha. So, surely, we need to reduce the scope to have some talking points in this post.

Y'all know that I'm an EPL fan so I thought what we can do at this point in the transfer market is have a bit of a conversation around who has been the best signing of the top 6 clubs in the English Premier League in this transfer window so far.

Each of the top 6 clubs is picked in alphabetical order;

1. Arsenal Fc: Many of their players came back from loan and they did a couple of signing in the market but the biggest name for me and the most impactful signing has to be Gabriel Jesus. The guy is a banger and he is a proven Premier League centre-forward.

It's a win for him and Arsenal because he will be sure of game time and that can earn him a call from Brazil for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

2. Chelsea Fc: Jeezzz... Chelsea has been insane in this transfer window. There is an interesting conversation to be had about which of either Raheem Sterling or Koulibaly can be taken as their signing of this transfer window. These two guys have been at the top level for so long and they are going to play an important part in this current Chelsea team.

I think Chelsea's attacking front has been substandard throughout last season, so Sterling would have to be the guy I will take as their best signing of much of this transfer window so far. You surely don't know what you will wake up to the next day.

3. Liverpool: We just signed Darwin Nunez for €75.00m from Benfica. I believe the departure of Sadio Mane is one of the major reasons for the signing of Nunez and it's still a good deal on paper. We all know that the lad is a proven goal-getter but the concern I have is that he did it in the Portuguese league. No offence to the league, but Premier League is a different level altogether.

4. Manchester City: These guys are unstoppable and they don't think twice when it comes to splashing money because they have the money and they are getting results. The signing of Erling Haaland is no doubt the loudest signing for them in this window and it may as well be this season's biggest signing in the Premier League.

I believe we all are waiting to see what the young lad will bring to the table although there is no doubt about his ability and capability.

5. Manchester United: Some of the guys that came back from injury are looking fresh and ready to be part of Ten Hag's tenor at the club. They also spent big money on a centre-back from Ajax but surprisingly, I'm picking Christian Eriksen as their signing of the transfer window so far. We know what Eriksen did in Tottenham and we all can attest that he is worth every penny spent on him.

Well, guess what? It didn't even cost a quid to get the Lad. It was a free transfer from Brentford to Man u. What a signing! I hope he remains fit and enjoy his game in United's shirt.

6. Tottenham Hotspur: Tottenham have been a busy bee in this transfer window. They even got Richarlison for €58.00m from Everton. Richarlison is someone I liked during his days at Watford but ever since he moved to Everton, he has been losing all the top ratings I had for him.

It's left to see if he will be 'the guy' for Tottenham, but I'm choosing Bissouma as an important signing of this window so far for Tottenham. We've all seen him go toe-to-toe against the big 6 during his days in Brighton and he is always impressive in such games. He also understands the Prems and he will prove to be an important part of Conte's plan for Tottenham.

That's it for my top picks from the signings made by the big 6 clubs in EPL this transfer window.

The transfer window is still open with more signings under way. Soak in all the excitement and hype until the season proper.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

The way Arsenal has been signing this summer surprised me, they are ready to compete for the EPL title this season same goes for Tottenham. The EPL is going to be hot this season.

The best coach would be known this season because they've both got material, the top 6.

You are totally right about that, and if Pep somehow wins the title this season he will have my full respect.

Yeah. Arsenal is doing so well in this transfer window and I think it's a very good time because the premier league is getting more intense.

For anyone to stand a chance of winning, you need at least 95 points. That level is not a joke and it will be nice to see how Arsenal will approach this season.

Can't wait for the season to kick off.

It's still pre-Season so the best signing can't be known now, not serious match for now, until we see the real week to week result and performance. Not all the signings would play as expected, some would definitely flop and some that we didn't expect would play more than expectations, it still depend on the players they play with.

Surely, not all of them will perform and the signings I mentioned are not based on pre-season performance. Let's take Man City for an example. I haven't watched any of their game this preseason but it's kinda clear that on paper, their best signing in this window (so far) is Haaland.

When the season starts, after the first 10 games and more, we will know if it was a hit or miss. Haha.

but Premier League is a different level altogether

Exactly. You guys shouldn't expect much from him, especially with premier league defenders that don't want to give chances.

As for Erikson, I don't see that guy as a threat. He did well in Tottenham but he is no longer at his best.

For Mancity, those guys no get joy. The day I will be playing against them, I am going to watch it at home 🤣.

Nice analysis.

Lol... This is spot on bro and that's why I rate the signing of Sterling and that of Gabriel Jesus to be a very important decision for both Chelsea and Arsenal. These two guys understand how the Premier League works and they have been at their very best while playing at a top-level. I'm sure those guys are bangers. Even in their worst form, 10 goals should be a guarantee.

As for Haaland and Nunez, we all know what they are capable of doing but the fact that they are coming into Premier League and also coming into teams that are known for playing very intense style of football, I surely wouldn't be expecting big figures from them in their first season. Unfortunately, we football fans can't give all of them grace so, anyone that messes up will be dragged by fans & pundits 😂.

Eriksen is making people to ask many questions and it's understandable after everything he passed through. Haha. But, if he can be fit week-in week-out, getting him for free can prove to be a good bargain.

Let's just look forward to the beginning of the season. Haha

Watching my Almighty Timo Werner turn to ball boy 🤣🤣 made me appreciate the premier League. One thing is certain, this season will be very competitive.

I wonder if C. Ronaldo will get himself to play in the Europa league

Hahah... Seriously, when we bought Naby Keita from Rb Leipzig, I seriously wished we bought Werner alongside him. The guy was so good, but his stay in England have not been impressive so far.

I wonder if C. Ronaldo will get himself to play in the Europa league

Big Question there. Haha. The man is being rejected by all the clubs he is linked to. Can't wait to see if he will be stuck with Manchester United.

I think it is a big lesson. Most times these top footballers boost on things not necessary

The best signing for me his Gabriel Jesus because he have a very good scoring rate , understand the league very well and a winner which he will bring the mentality to his new club.

Yap! He is truly a big contender for this and I believe he will be a big fix to the lackadaisical attitude we've been seeing from Arsenal.
