We can't chill with the big boyz | Not in Qatar 2022.

World Cup is arguably the biggest footballing competition in the whole world. It's the grand playing ground and every footballer dreams about wearing his country's jersey and playing on that big stage. For a tournament that holds once in 4 years, I must say that it deserves every hype it is getting from the football world.

Building up to the competition takes a long time due to the preparation that goes with it. Part of that preparation has to do with the series of qualification games played across all continents in their attempt to get representatives.

Representatives from Africa

After the games that were played yesterday, we are now sure of the 5 countries that will be representing the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in Qatar 2022. They include;

  • Cameroon

  • Morocco

  • Tunisia

  • Ghana

  • Senegal

As for the Super Eagles of Nigeria, I'm sure they will be gutted with themselves for not being able to score a single goal from open play after playing for a total of 3 hours against the black stars of Ghana.

The lads didn't impress at all so, they will have to watch from home. The teams that prove to be more hungry to represent have already secured a spot to Qatar.

I won't dig deeper into our loss. It's no longer breaking news. What I still find hard to believe is the reaction that came from the fans after that loss.

Why can't we lose peacefully, for crying out loud?

I understand that the fans are gutted and disappointed with the shitty performance from the team. I also believe that their anger goes beyond what happened in the game. The country is already sinking into hopelessness by all means, but none of this should serve as a justification for the shithousry displayed by Nigerian fans after we lost our chance of qualifying for the World Cup.

At the moment, it is confirmed that a CAF official died due to the stampede. I won't bother highlighting the multiple things that were destroyed at the stadium.

This isn't sportsmanship! It's rather a disgusting display that shows a lack of integrity.

Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop Or Comma

I would have been happy if Nigeria made it into representing CAF at least, it would serve as a tiny source of joy over our country since a lot of things have gone wrong 🤩, but no! We lost it, why won't we?🤔

Football is a major thing I have noticed that makes lots of Nigerians Happy especially when we are on the winning side

I reserve the rest of my comment shaa...

They should watch from home.

Exactly, this is one of the few things that unites all Nigerians. As far as Nigeria is playing, tribalism disappears and everyone gets to enjoy the game. Now, we can't when hope for that cheap thrill any longer.

Wahala. Hehe.

Haha... It's too much. The disgrae is just too much.

With the crop of players in our team, we should be making waves in Africa, but what you would expect is never the reality.

We are just good on paper.

We have already missed this one. Till next 4 years.
