My Actifit Report Card: September 14 2022 - LEO and Ethereum
Two tokens are on my mind today. Our Hive layer 2 LEO token and crypto's number 2 token behind Bitcoin which is Ethereum. Here is why I'm thinking of them.
LEO
LEO has a monthly Power Up Day when we are encouraged to stake our LEO. Powering up or staking has 2 benefits. Your vote and the curation reward you earn from it both increase as your amount staked increases. In addition staked tokens aren't liquid. They are locked up for 28 days. Therefore there are less tokens that could be potentially sold. Lower supply with constant demand produces higher token prices.
Now there will be a new incentive to power up LEO today. Stake 150 or more LEO and you will get a hivebuzz badge! For all these benefits I decided to buy some more LEO and stake 150 of them today the 15th according to UTC time.
Ethereum
For Ethereum we have the merge about to happen. Ethereum is changing the way they secure their blockchain from Proof Of Work to Proof Of Stake. POW requires a lot of computing power which in some cases uses a lot of energy. POS is similar to DPOS which we use here on Hive and Steem and Blurt. If this change goes well then in some ways Ethereum and crypto in general will be improved.

Greetings dear sir @kenny-crane I've powered up 300 leo and delegated to leo.voter but I'm not sure if that delegation has any benefit or reward. Should I undelegate it to have votong power? Please enlighten me on this. Thanks for the kind reminder I forget about LPUD in 15th of the month. I have a little to power up so I may take part next time.
If you delegate to leo voter, then they are using your leo for their up votes and what you delegated is not earning LEO curation for you. However, I'm sure they are providing some LEO to you for the delegation. That's usually how delegations work.
I only delegate to actifit. In return, they give me a small payment each week in Hive and they also give me actifit tokens and votes on my posts. I haven't done the math to see if I make more from undelegating or keeping my delegation but I really did the delegation to support actifit without thought of rewards so it doesn't matter much to me whether I get something for myself or not.
But I like to keep as much of my Hive Power for my own voting use. I like to help and support people that I vote for as much as possible. So like I said, I only delegate to one project and that is actifit. I'd rather decide for myself how my Hive Power is used rather than delegate it to someone else, in general.

I gotta check on my LEO now.. I always power up, then I delegate my LP to leo.voter, which in turn get me more LEO, then I power that up, and so on.. :)
