My Actifit Report Card: November 25 2022 - Catching Up With Myra West

(Edited)

I spent some time tonight watching some YouTube videos by Myra West that I had not yet watched. She became a YouTubeStar overnight 3 years ago when her video called 21 Years Old: I Have NO Friends went viral and got Millions of views and earned her many thousands of subscribers.

Mrya doesn't fit in to this crazy world very well. She sees the games people play and usually decides to play her own game with her own rules. I feel that she would fit in with the type of people we are on this social media that's even newer and more fringe than YouTube. She reminds me of people I met in the early quirky days of YouTube and once again when I came here, this place which is still kind of in its early days.

I feel that watching a Myra West video is like reading a poem. Or like reading a religious book. Or like hearing a new song in a genre that may be new to you. What I mean is, there's so much here that is open to interpretation according to who you are. Therefore I feel like watching her is a way to understand yourself. The reaction, the feelings you have will tell you something about yourself that you never knew.

Making friends is not something we can be proud, many of us has having many friends and invite many more troubles in life so it very normal to be introvert, being alone all the life. True friends are few, when you have one you’ve no need to have many. Blessed people have that one friend for lifetime.

She talks good and many people goes through it so they going to like this too.

Hope you are fine dear sir Kenny, 4k activities are not that big as you make usually. Have a great weekend! 💖🌷❤️🌹💝💗💐🧡💓

True friends are few, when you have one you’ve no need to have many. Blessed people have that one friend for lifetime- there's really no need keeping the circle of friendship big . When you actually find a true friend or friends it seems like you've struck gold .

I thought there would be something to learn about the video, especially talking about homeschooling, but halfway I realized there wasn't much to ponder on.

She blames her parents, and her own family for her lack of friends, but never herself really.

What she says about the last child being neglected is absolutely untrue, and never mention that your siblings could also be your friends sometimes...

Really, becoming accountable & self-aware of your own quirkiness comes later in life. What she describes it's every teenager's awkward years in high school, nobody has friends. I didn't...You'll never see these people, ever again. It's a working environment, same goes for working in a corporate environment, these people don't become your friends.

I really wanted that video to be great, but instead, I wasted a bit of my time listening to someone that isn't pleasant to listen to.

I think that's what the core of "making friends", if you are a pleasant person, kind, and enjoyable, you'll make friends.

If you complain all the time, don't smile, and always blame others for your own social awkwardness, then you'll have a hard time make friends...

It is really strange this next generation growing without taking ownership of their own lives...

I also blame it on social media for giving a voice to uneventful situations...

The good news is, it doesn't matter much haha, and good job on your daily activity counts!!!

I also blame it on social media for giving a voice to uneventful situations...- this is really deep with no iota of lies.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply!

Social media surely gives voice to the most mundane uneventful situations! :)

I suppose that's good and bad at the same time. Everyone can broadcast whatever they want, giving them the feeling that they have a voice, and everyone has to wade through all of this to find something they can relate to and find value in. Also, everyone can find someone who they relate to, even if they feel like they have never found anyone to relate to in the past.

I don't really know what I'm trying to say here. :D But I'm glad this got you thinking and writing, and apparently talking about it at dinner. I guess that's a good thing!

Best wishes and thanks again for visiting and commenting!

I understand what you're trying to say though, I guess someone will resonate with what she said, and recognize themselves in it. This is probably why it's getting many views, that and other factors that make a video goes viral.

Cheers!
