My Actifit Report Card: April 25 2023 - YouTube Singer Avery Changes Direction
I remember a decade ago seeing some cool music videos on YouTube from a singer/songwriter named Avery. She was singing high energy pop rock and got millions of views. Yesterday she showed up in my list if videos from people I subscribe to. She explains what happened to her music career and what she is doing now - Only Fans.
If you don't know what that is, don't look it up. It's probably not for you. But it seems to be working for Avery. I think it might work for some women as a great fun way to pay the bills as long as it's their choice and no one is forcing them to do it.
We have something similar here but it's not profitable from what I've seen. But in general, on other sites it IS profitable for some and Only Fans must be getting a good cut of the action too. Should we have something like that here? Do we want something like that here? Controversial topic so don't reply if you don't want to! :)

she is 100 % right, being an independent artist is difficult.
I remember watching some interviews with webcam girls or the like (not sure if it was OF particularly), but they were saying how much work goes into actually making it profitable. I think a lot of people have this impression that it's a part-time thing you can do quickly and get tons of money, but from what I gather, it's much like a full-time job if you want to get anything out of it.
But yeah, being an indie artist is damn hard, so hope she gets where she wants to be :D (you're right, she does have a great Avril Lavigne vibe!)

Ya, that's what I was alluding to by saying we kind of have it here already but when I look in at that tag periodically I don't see anyone getting big rewards.
I've not been on OnlyFans so I don't know the demographics of the content providers or the "fans" but I do know that YouTuber HotForWords recently made an Only Fans and she is 43 now! I used to work on her website back when she was a YouTubeStar (as well as a few other huge YouTubers) to show real time stats about her channel. In addition to getting paid, she also sent me signed glossy pics which might be a collectors item someday! Point being, there's a wide range of people who might do okay on Only Fans. I imagine the "hot young chick" class of people generally do the best but again I have no data. But for anyone who cares to research, here's a link to Bing search results on the topic...
