My Actifit Report Card: May 11 2025 - Here Comes Summer

Today YouTube sent me an oldie song about summer, maybe because of the beach party tunes I listened to lately. Who really knows how the algorithm works. I just groove along to my AI Overlord's musical suggestions!

This is called Here Comes Summer by Jerry Keller from 1959. Its a cute tune with a good tempo about a guy and his girl probably around this time of year dreaming about the cool time they will have when summer finally comes. This went all the way to Number 1 in the UK that summer of '59 but only in the top 20 back in the states.

The recording seems to be in an early stereo mix. The main singer and the guitars and drums are on the right channel. The backing singers and an organ are on the left channel. Strange and a bit annoying but it is what it is.

Anyway, here comes summer time at last!

My Activity

for this Sunday was hanging out with my mom since it was Mother's Day! Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms and moms to be and really anyone who is a caregiver to kids. I gave mom a card and bought her dinner. Eggplant Parmesan from the local Italian Restaurant which she loves.

At night I did take a walk but not that far. It was misty / foggy out there and micro water droplets were abounding. Still, I don't let things like that keep me from my walk. But I do keep it short in wet weather. No pool time for me today or any day this past week. Not really pool weather. Maybe this coming week!
