My Actifit Report Card: June 17 2025 - Senate Passed Genius Act
Today I saw a super short 1 minute YouTube video from CNBC reporting that the US Senate passed the GENIUS Act which will regulate stablecoins and those entities that issue them. The bill now goes to the House of Representatives. The bill passed the Senate with a 68 to 30 vote and is expected too pass the House with little change. Then Trump will sign it into law.
Is this good or bad? I can't say. Probably some of both.

How will it affect HBD?
It might be bad for HBD because it is not backed by Treasury Bills and it is decentralized. HBD can not be shut down, but it could be delisted from the only exchange that lists it, UpBit, with a HBD/BTC pair.

HBD is traded on the Hive internal market and on hive-engine, and one can convert HBD to HIVE from a Hive Wallet. It is possible that those are the only ways in and out of HBD in the future, but we'll have to see.
I actually tweeted about HBD today, in regard to its awesome 15% APR Interest rate. I'm looking forward to seeing how the tweet does.

My Activity
on this Tuesday was pretty good! I got almost 12K by daily movements throughout the day, followed by my daily nightly walk which I did without fear of rain this time. It was out out so just a T shirt and no hoodie for me. I went longer than I usually walk so that helped pump up the number.
After that I did a few sets with my dumbbells for arms, legs, core and shoulders. Then I did 30 pushups for arms, chest and core. So a pretty active day!

HBD has been stable. Past performance is not a guarantee of future performance!
It is only on 1 exchange, but it can be traded here with the internal market as well as on hive-engine / tribaldex, and maybe soon on VSC. So the future may be as stable as the present. At 15% APR, it can be part of one's portfolio. I have some. :)

Lots of people own them, for a reason. They certainly were good in the past. But again, who knows the future.

Finally some clarity on stablecoins. This could legitimize the whole space even if it makes things trickier for decentralized ones like HBD. Better than the current wild west situation imo.
