My Actifit Report Card: July 25 2025 - The Groovy Nobody
YouTube showed me a chill guitar based neo psychedelic music video from some guys out in Washington state called The Groovy Nobody. The main guy singing and playing guitar is named Sam Larson. He looks exactly like a family member so after seeing the thumbnail I had to watch the video.
I actually like 2 music videos by them! Here is Soul Searching from 2018. See if you can also dig it. It has 8K views which is ok for a small indie band. I like the steady groove and the scenic setting for the music video. Watch! Give them a subscribe if you like their vibe.

The video YouTube recommended was this newer one from The Groovy Nobody. It is from just 7 months ago and it is called Sunsick. It is similar, with about the same tempo. In the video we see Sam leaning up against a tree, and waist deep in a pond, and standing in nature playing his guitar. If you liked Soul Searching then you'll also like this one. It got 43K views which is nice! Again, sub them if you like them.

My Activity
today included some work around the house and some meal prep which I'm not good at, but ya gotta eat!
Last night after I posted I did some dumbbell sets for the legs and biceps. Dumbbell work always hits the core too, so that's a bonus. I also did 40 inclined pushups last night.
I just took my daily nightly walk and it was hot and humid out there. Luckily there was a bit of a breeze as storms were moving in. I did get wet toward the end of my walk. But I'm glad I was able to get out there and hit 7K for today's number.
Well now it's the weekend! I hope your week went well.

Not exactly my cup of tea but it makes me think about the whole Velvet Sundown fake AI band situation... How could ever people listen to that AI slop when there are already so many good indie bands like The Groovy Nobody with REAL people playing REAL instruments. It's something I could never understand. And I think Spotify has a big BIG fault in this.
Shame on them and AI f-artists.
