My Actifit Report Card: July 27 2025 - Andreea Covers Connie

I saw in my YouTube subscriptions feed that Andreea Munteanu from Romania is out with a new cover song. Today she did a fairly accurate rendition of the Connie Francis hit Stupid Cupid from like 65 years ago. She tracks Connie's tone and style and inflections quite closely. The instrumental accompaniment was close but I heard more piano and less guitar. I also heard less echo especially in the claps where we hear lots of reverb in the original.

So here is Andreea Munteanu having fun with Stupid Cupid. She has about 80K subscribers and maybe you'll sub too. This video got 6K views in less than a day. Check it out!

My Activity

on this Sunday was family stuff for most of the day. We're in the middle of a heat wave here, and the only sane place to be was indoors with the AC pumping out cool air.

I waited until it dropped into the mid 80s Fahrenheit before I stepped out for my nightly walk. It was a little less humid so it felt slightly better then recent days.

I took a fairly decent path but walked a little slower than usual so as not to break a sweat. But I do get a decent workout with these 20 minute walks because my trek takes my up and down some minor hills making my exercise session into a bit of a HIIT type of exercise. HIIT = High Intensity Interval Training, where you UP your pace for a few minutes during a regular paced exercise like walking. This is supposed to be a good way to work out your heart and blood system.

Well the weekend has passed. I hope yours was good!

I like more muntenau voice overall, instruments behind are quite similar... We gotta say tough that recording technologies used are different, now sound can be improved, before not a lot
