You may have heard that Open AI released ChatGPT 5 today. So what are the experts saying? There are many on YouTube and today I'll focus on David Shapiro and Matthew Berman.

Dave Shapiro - It's Smarter, But...

David Shapiro is an expert in AI and has been for years. He has a certain Dr. Spock or Sheldon Cooper vibe, but that just puts him in good genius company. Dave Tweeted right away, after watching the Open AI ChatGPT 5 Presentation and I'll drop that after the video.

Dave is most interested in PLE which is Post Labor Economics. And in my understanding, that is basically what the world will be like once AI and Robots are doing everyone's job so no one has to work. How will we eat without a job? It's a big question and Dave uses ChatGPT and other AIs to help him define what is possibly going to happen in the near future.

David liked that ChatGPT knows about PLE and is good at helping him work through the possible future scenarios. But he expected some new things from 5 which he did not see in the presentation.

Let's see his short 13 minute video from 7 hours ago with 28K views already on Dave's YouTube channel with 128K subscribers.

Matthew Berman - Insane Coding Ability!

Matthew Berman is another smart AI expert on YouTube. His channel has 505K subscribers which is huge for a tech Tuber.

Matthew shows example after example of vibe coding where he just types in what he wants and ChatGPT 5 writes him a program to do just that. He asks for a general Rubix Cube generator and solver, and presto - there it is! He wants a snake game, done. How about a bunch of 3D physical simulations, yep. A Excel or Word clone? Done! A nice data dashboard, that too. A Twitter Clone? Wow, yes! Note to people here working on Snaps and similar Twitter clones. Your front end coding time will be minimal now!

My Activity

today was being thankful that I don't code for a living anymore. AI would be taking my job! Debatable, but it looks like that may be coming. However maybe just more time for coders/programmers/software engineers to do more high level stuff and let the AI vibe up the majority of the code.

I did household business like usual, and broke it up with a few exercise snacks, namely 2 minutes of high knees and 2 minutes of squats.

At night it finally stopped raining and I went for a 25 minute walk. I think the moon is in the sky and full or nearly so, but it was too overcast to see, except for a hazy brighter than its surrounding spot where I often see the full moon.

I scored well! 10K, yes!

Can you use it already? I would be interested more in it not losing context after a while, in the level of "sentient" reached...

I use copilot at https://copilot.microsoft.com/ and I asked it what version of ChatGPT it used. It said it uses similar technology but that it is not a version of ChatGPT.

So I'm not able to access 5 yet, through copilot, but not sure if it is rolled out for free in other ways or not.

Wow, ChatGPT 5 if not for you I wouldn't know they've released it yet. I have some app ideas maybe I wouldn't need too much professionals, just chat Gtp can do it all soon

Chatgpt is cool ai bot but I use gemini more and find it much better for real time updates which I think chatgpt don't have. Let's see what chatgpt brings on the table
