AI keeps improving at a fast rate. Now it doesn't even need us to come up with better algorithms and programming, it does this by itself
So says Julia McCoy in her latest video. She talks about how Mark Zuckerberg reported their AI in Meta AI Labs is self improving and he is concerned about releasing it. Self improving AI might be the last version of AI people release as after that AI will just release better versions of itself.
Julia goes on to talk about the alignment problem. We have 2 possible futures. The good one is where AI is in alignment with human goals and it brings us abundant resources and time to do what we want. Or AI can no align with us and choose to do what is best for itself and who knows what that may mean.
The video has 18K views in 10 hours. Julia's channel has 147K views. I think it is one to watch for AI News, even if I don't always agree with her. That's fine, I don't always agree with anyone! Subscribe if you like her stuff!

My Activity
for this Thursday was OK, but not great. I had household chores as always, and did high knees and squats and some twist-at-the-waist kind of things as well.
At night I heard thunder and got out there for a walk as quick as possible! I knew a storm was on the way. I saw lots of lightning which looked cool but I monitored it to make sure it wasn't that close. I saw no moon since the sky was full of clouds.
I didn't walk that far or long because it did start to rain a little. But I managed 9K today, which is OK!

Even if the ai is improving itself doesn't mean it's self aware, it's just programmed to improve but doesn't mean it's doing it for its own decision... I think that's just clickbait😅 no one has a self aware ai as of now
