Alice Cooper Wants to be Reflected and Elected

Well be have 7 inches of snow on the ground here. That's very unusual. So I listened to music on YouTube.

Starting in the 70s there was a band and its singer that became very well known. The band and its singer, a guy, were both called Alice Cooper.

I knew they had a song early in their career called Elected. It has been pretty popular over the years.

But I did not know that it was a reworked version of a song the band did a few years earlier called Reflected. It was a single released from the very first Alice Cooper album called Pretties for You. I "borrowed" that album from a girlfriend some time ago, and I still have it. 😫

I don't remember hearing the song though. I only borrowed the album to listen to Fields Of Regret which I liked. it sounded like The Doors to me, and I like them a lot.

In any case, about 4 years later, Alice Cooper was finally famous and they released Elected on their 1973 album Billion Dollar Babies. I remember this on the oldies stations some years ago. It is more polished and pop rock oriented than Reflected which is more late 60s psychedelic related.

I do know Alice is a Pastor's Kid. His real name is Vincent Furnier and his dad was... I don't know if they call themselves Pastors, but he was in a small LDS offshoot of the main LDS church aka Mormon.

He's a pretty tame guy in interviews and real life. He golfs, believes in some form of Christianity (not sure which version), and has had the same wife since the mid 70s. He says they never cheated on each other and never fight. Disagree, yes sometimes of course, but they respect each other and don't fight over things.
