Superbowl 60 - Seahawks Win!

(Edited)

Today was the 60th Superbowl and I watched it. The game started slow. No touchdowns in the first half. Just 3 field goals and all by the Seattle Seahawks putting them ahead by a score of 9 to nothing against the Patriots.

The half time show was pretty cool. I'm not a fan of Bad Bunny's music but his show was interesting and quite a sight to see. I liked the excitement and the sets and outfits.

The Associated Press YouTube channel has a 2 minute highlight video of Bad Bunny and his crew, including Lady Gaga, which lasts less than a minute so go watch it!

Then, back to the game!

The Seahawks opened the 3rd quarter with yet another field goal. Then they finally got a touchdown making it 19 to zip. But the Patriots answered right away with their own TD.

Too little, too late. Time was running out and Seattle had scored again so the Patriots could not come back. The final score was Seattle Seahawks 29 and the New England Patriots 13.

Did YOU Watch It?

If not, you can see a 23 minute recap video on YouTube which already has over 156K views.

Seems the NFL YouTube channel didn't allow this to be embedded here, so just follow the Source link above to see it on YouTube.

My Activity

today was some family work and other things around the house. Then after the game I did take a walk in 30 degree weather and then did some dumbbell work. My main movement is a squat into a curl into an overhead press. Works a lot of muscles at the same time.

Wishing YOU a Wonderful Week!

May your coming week be enjoyable and productive and loving and peaceful.

❤️❤️❤️

I just added a really short recap video of the half time show, and a longer recap of the game which you probably have to watch on YouTube because it looks like it sis not embed on this post.

Whatever you did today, I hope it was a good day for you! :)

I enjoyed the game. Yay for the Seahawks! I really liked Bad Bunny's halftime show. I thought it was unique and energetic. I liked his tribute to all the Spanish speaking countries — including, of course, the U.S. While Spanish is not our primary language in the U.S., it is spoken by more people around the world than English. I think we would do well to acknowledge Spanish and Latin influences in societies across the globe and certainly as a primary influence in U.S. culture.

Thanks for reading my blog post! :)

"Unique and energetic" - yes! I was hoping I could understand some of what Mr Bunny was singing as I took Español in HS, lived in NYC, and then moved to near Miami FL. But I didn't get much. Apparently my Spanish is rusty now.

I do like that we have a lot of very interesting Spanish speaking folks here on HIVE. They often write their posts in both Spanish and English, giving me a chance to try to read the Spanish and then having the English right there, to check myself!

There's no doubt that there are lots of Spanish influences worldwide and Spanish speakers. My History is also rusty but I think I remember why this is the case. Maybe I'll have a chat with my new friend ChatGPT about that, and see if what I think happened, actually happened, at least according to my new friend. :)

In any case, my opinion is that it is good to expose oneself to lots of different cultures and ideas. Then we can begin to understand each other and have the love and respect for others that we sometimes seem to lack. Humans tend to be tribal, but the more people we meet and actually listen to, the more we can come to see that we're all basically in the same tribe, with more in common than we may think.

Have an awesome week ahead!
