Sunday afternoon walk. My Actifit Report Card: November 9 2025
Today’s Actifit report comes with sea air and forest paths.
This Sunday afternoon I crossed over to the German side of the Flensburg Fjord for a quiet walk. The air already feels like deep autumn
There were some stranded jellyfish at the beach. I still think it is funny that the Danish word for "stinging jellyfish" and "firefighter" is the same: brandman.
Of course Tamika was with me. She trotted ahead with her nose in the moss and leaves, completely focused on all the exciting smells. Every now and then she turned around to check if I was still following and then bounced back toward the more interesting things.
It was one of those simple autumn walks that clears the head. Forest, water, my dog and enough quiet to hear my own thoughts. A good way to end the weekend and to collect a few more steps for Actifit.

Winter here is the muddy season. Windy, rainy, dark. I'm not a big fan of that 😬
That's the perfect weather for me!!! I respect your dislike of it, I know it's not the norm! I'm a ginger so the sun literally harms me!
Okay, that makes it somehow better, knowing someone likes that weather. Many of the Danes like it because it gives them time for "hygge". Being cozy indoors. I'm trying to learn some of that 🙂
TIL: Hygge (pronounced "hoo-gah") is a Danish and Norwegian concept that refers to a feeling of cozy contentment and well-being, often associated with simple pleasures and a warm atmosphere.
