My Actifit Ulog: 26 September 2021 - Day 12 & 13 of my 100 days of recovery

The irony of life is indeed something to behold! I finally got my best record ever and I didn't manage to get my post in on time yesterday! I did a grand total of 24,197 steps!!! Nooooooooooooooooo....Ok I have gotten over the fact that I didn't make it to post on time. So I am going to continue to make sure that I keep posting no matter what.

If I knew how easy it would be to get to yesterday's record, I would have tried it earlier. We decided to go visit a shopping mall! Yes! We went shopping! Though, I must say I wish that I got lighter instead of my wallet! LOL! We had a great time without the kiddos as we dropped them off with their grandparents to spend the weekend with them. Win-win situation! They get to spend time their grandparents and get spoiled rotten whilst we get some quiet time just hubby and me.

We started the day by going for brunch at hubby's favourite curry noodles restaurant. It serves the best curry noodles and roast pork! Then we headed to Sunway Velocity and MyTown Shopping Center. I was hoping to visit Ikea as we haven't been there for the longest time and I love going there to window shop. I always imagined having my home decorated like the show spaces in Ikea. But there was just too many people and we were too lazy to stand in line...what a waste of time. Not liking the new norm at all. Every where you go it's lines and limited number of people that can go into a shop.

So near yet so far! The line was stupidly long so we didn't go. Will probably attempt Ikea again during a weekday

So we headed back to Sunway Velocity and I managed to get some of my shopping done. Then we decided that we would sit down and have a good posh meal. Korean BBQ was what we choose! We went to this restaurant called Palsaik Korean Pork BBQ Restaurant. Their speciality is 8 different marinates of pork belly and a wonderful hearty seafood and kimchi soup. We loved the seafood soup! It was absolutely delicious! They cook the meat for you at your table and you enjoy fresh off the stove. Suffice to say that there really was too much food so we packed the remainder to take home with us.

After dinner we went home and settled down to watch a movie together called "Free Guy" It was a pretty good movie. Really entertaining, hilarious and accurately describes our current times. It is about Ryan Reynolds being a non playable character in a metaverse game who through AI develops into "real" character in the game. As you know Ryan Reynolds is a funny guy and he played the role really well here. Go watch it! I am sure that you will enjoy it as we did. So much so, it was because of the movie that I totally forgot to do my posting! Then it was off to bed after a wonderful Saturday.

My Sunday today was a little more busy as we picked up the kiddos from their grandparents place and brought them home. There was still stuff to do before I head back to the office on Monday and the kids do online school. Yes, it has been 4 months now since the lockdown and I have been working solely from home. Tomorrow we are reopening the office and officially working from the office.

I must say that I am a little sad that I won't be with my family and I have been thinking about all the things that I would miss once I start going to the office to work. The early morning quiet as I make my coffee. Seeing the kiddos when they wake up and making breakfast for them and eating together... heading out for exercise in the park. It is all going to be another big adjustment once again. We were just getting into a good routine and now I am heading back to the office. Monday blues is hitting me early and hard on a Sunday night.

Well, I guess we will just have to make the best of it. I am glad that I am able to still work from home a few days a week so hopefully the adjustment will be gradual and easier. But I know for a fact that I am really going to miss them so much!
