My Actifit Report Card: September 29 2021

Hey everyone it is almost at the end of the day for me already and almost time to post my Actifit post else I am going to miss the midnight deadline which is looming in about 20 minutes.

Yes, I know I should be doing this earlier, but I can only get my steps in late in the day due to work and the kids. I need to figure out a way to get my steps in earlier really. Morning walks would be the best but I have not gotten into the habit of exercise really early in the morning and since I am some days back at the office, I would need to start the day even earlier if I am to get steps in.

I worked from home today and in the evening I decided to go to the mall again with hubby and we had dinner together. This time I went to the AEON shopping mall in Taman Maluri to get some groceries.

Shopping really does help with the steps and today is the 3rd day in a row that I have overshot my 10K step goal! I am really so happy as I also manage to increase my step goal 1000 extra everyday! it was 11, 081on Monday, 12,091 yesterday and today I made 13, 480!!! I am moving up the ranks slowly...but surely!!

After coming home from shopping we decided to go for a night walk to burn more calories after dinner. We took our little Kape with us. He is a little Yorkie and a very old man. He has been with us for 13 years now and really getting old. We want to spend as much time with him as we can now before anything happens to him. He was our first "baby" before the kiddos arrived.

My knee does feel a little more tired than usual. It also is a little sore, some twisting and turning angle hurt a little. I am still having quite a bit of trouble coming down slopes and steps. I need to really strengthen the muscles in my leg overall. Lately I also feel tired at the end of the day but the good kind of tired and sleep very very well. The kind that you feel after a workout. I hope to be able to do more than just walk, I would like to go hiking particularly, but I am afraid of the uneven ground and the slopes.

Over the course of me being active in sports and outdoor activites, I have had injuries before but rehabilitating my knee after tearing my menicus and ACL seems so much more difficult and frustrating than even a broken bone. I believe that my recovery is also taking a long time as I am much older than when I had my injuries before. Please do take care of your knee joint as it is pretty tough injury to rehabilitate.
