The English Premier League Is Back

The English Premier League is back with it's trills and excitement. I feel this season is going to be a long and interesting one. The league will be unpredictable. Who will be crowned champions at the end of the season? Well for me I think it might go down to the wire. Possibly the champions will be decided on the last day of the season.

Burnley 0 - 3 Manchester City

The champions began the season with a win over the just promoted Burnley. Well everyone expected the sky blues to pick all three points. Man City will be difficult to beat this season but I think they might lack the zeal and passion to go all the way this season. For Burnley playing against City on their return and losing by the margin they did isn't bad I think Burnley will stay up this season.

Arsenal 2- 1 Nottingham Forest

The Gooners will have a great season this time around. They might win a trophy this season but I don't think they have what it takes to win the league. They to be more ruthless and kill off games. Arsenal create so many chances but they don't take them. They struggled a little against Forest in the second half but I think they will make the top 3 this season or even win the league.
For Forest I think they have a good side. All the need to do is pick up more points on the road. Where will they finish this season? I think they have learnt from their mistakes last season,so a mid-table finish for them will be a success.

Brighton 4-1 Luton

The seagulls will do well this season, I'm expecting them to be fighting for the top four this season. There is an air of believe within the squad. I love how they don't respect any team and stick to their philosophy no matter they opponents. This season I feel if they can strengthen their squad they will shock the top teams. For Luton I think they should just enjoy their ride in the Premier League. Luton might end up having the lowest points tally ever in the league. I have this feeling they will upset two big teams during the league season. I will be surprised if they stay up.

Everton 0-1 Fulham
The Toffees will be involved in another relegation scrap this season, but they might the drop. They have to make quality signings before the transfer window closes. I feel the need to sign a centre-back, an attacking midfielder and a striker. For Fulham I feel they will finish in the top 10 but they have to make Craven Cottage a fortress. They will make life difficult for the big teams this season.

Newcastle 5-1 Aston Villa

Newcastle will be a very difficult team to beat this season, this result as shown that they are going to be the team to watch out for this season. They might struggle a little bit because of the European competition, this might make them drop out of the top four. In general they will have a good season. For Villa I think the might struggle this season. Emery might have to change the setup of the team because you can't play in the encounter through out the season. They just need a few additions to the team. I see Villa going far in the cup competitions.

Sheffield Utd 0 - 1 Crystal Palace

The blade will struggle this season and they might not escape the drop. If they are to stay up this season they have to pick up more points away and do well against team around them. The win was expected for Palace, I expect them to be pushing for a top 8 finish this season. Their squad have gained the experience and they have to be more clinical Infront of goal. Overall I feel they will have a good season.

Bournemouth 1-1 West Ham

The cherries will have to improve this season and push for a Top 10 finish. From this game I can say they might need to win their home games and pick up more points from teams around them. I expect them to stay up. For the Hammers I fear they will struggle this season. They have to make signings before the transfer window closes for them to be able to compete in both the league and Europe.

Brentford 2 - 2 Tottenham

Brentford are a descent side and this season I expect them to be pushing for European qualification. I feel they will cause a few upsets. But I feel the season might also not go smoothly for them if we consider how they ended last season. For Tottenham I don't know how their season will pan out. Their inconsistency was very obvious last season and coupled with the fact that they just lost their star player Kane, I feel they will struggle this season.

Chelsea 1 - 1 Liverpool

I expect the Blues to do well this season. I won't judge them based on this result. They have a really young team and if they can gel as a team the blues will be unstoppable. But also their season might not also be a great one. I just feel Chelsea fans should see the long term future of the team. For Liverpool I sincerely don't know what to expect from them this season. Klopp needs to inject new life into his team. I think making the top four will be an excellent season for Liverpool.

Manchester United 1 - 0 Wolves

I expect Manchester United to have a great season. I feel they might be pushing for the league this season. It feels like this season the team will play some good football. I see United winning at least a trophy this season. For Wolves I feel a mid table finish would be a
great one for team. But qualifying for Europe should be their target.

This season I see a 3 horse race for the title. But the competition for European places will be a tough one.
