Yoh! It has been a while since I blogged about sports, and that is the main reason I created this account in the first place. I have now resumed and I am ready to be steady this time around.
Because we (Nigeria / Super Eagles) did not qualify for the 2026 World Cup, some of the countries that have already qualified have booked us for friendly matches as part of their World Cup preparations.
Last week, the NFF (Nigeria Football Federation) announced an upcoming mini-tournament involving Nigeria and three other countries. These nations are going to use the tournament as a test ahead of the World Cup.
The nations involved are Iran, Jordan, and Costa Rica.
The schedules are as follows:
NIGERIA vs IRAN 23rd March, 2025
NIGERIA vs JORDAN 31st March, 2025
These are the two matches involving Nigeria, while Costa Rica will also play against the other teams in the tournament. The match times are yet to be revealed, and I will make an update once the times are officially announced.
By the way, we are still waiting for FIFA’s verdict to determine our hope of participating in the World Cup. The table is still shaking.
