WAFCON 2024: MatchDay 2 Reviews and Previews
Greetings sports lovers!
Yesterday saw the kickstart of Matchday 2 in the ongoing WAFCON 2024 in Morocco. Below are the reviews of the matches played:
Zambia vs Senegal:
This match was really an interesting one because it gave us a five-goal thriller. Due to how Senegal walloped DR Congo in their last match with four unreplied goals, I tipped the Senegalese ladies to put on a good show against the Zambian ladies, but luck was on the Zambians’ side. Senegal scored within 4 minutes into the game, and they thought they had gotten it played out, but Zambia came out and equalised quickly, topped it with another one-goal lead, and it went on and on until it ended 3–2 in favour of Zambia.
DR Congo vs Morocco:
This match was even more interesting because the DR Congo ladies had a good one-goal lead, and they celebrated the goal like Christmas because they didn't see that coming at all. The Moroccan ladies didn’t sleep on it or feel discouraged; they fought back quickly, and the match ended with DR Congo 2:4 Morocco.
As it stands in Group A: Morocco is topping the group, followed by Zambia. Senegal is third, and DR Congo is last.
Upcoming matches:
Botswana vs Nigeria:
Again, I want to beat my chest that Nigeria is winning this match with multiple goals. There has been a lot of mouth-making on social media by the Botswana fans about how they're going to beat Nigeria. Well, the time is no longer far—let's wait and see how the match turns out. Match time is 8 p.m. (local time).
Algeria vs Tunisia:
Between these two nations, it's very hard to predict who would win because they’re on the same level. Although Algeria won their first match, it's not so sure they're going to claim the win in this one except they fight very hard. Match time is 5 p.m. (local time).
Thanks for reading.
