12th October | Live Football Match

Very early in the morning, I woke up to prepare for church. Thankfully, the dress code for church was a simple and easy one. I mean, I didn’t need to knot a tie which, under normal circumstances, makes one check once in a while to make sure it’s correctly placed.

Church was good, and I got called up unexpectedly to handle a position which I wanted to turn down, but I just had to accept it, and I hope I don’t struggle(with chance) when rendering the service.

Immediately after we closed, heavy rainfall started and held us in the church premises till around 1 p.m. before I left for home.

Around 3 p.m., my neighbour came to remind me of our agreement to go to the stadium to watch a live match. I was already sleeping, but because I had made the plan to go to the stadium today, I got up, dressed up, and we headed to the stadium for the football match between Warri Wolves and Niger Tornadoes. We sat at the home fans’ section — of course, we supported Warri Wolves — and it was entertaining watching the match with laughs, shouts, and banters. The weather was dull due to the rainfall, and the breeze was so cold that it dealt with us badly; I wished I had a sweater on.

The football match lasted till 6 p.m., and by then, the weather had become darker, so we just headed home and didn’t stay around to take some photographs of the environment. We walked a long distance, and it took us about 25 minutes to get home, and it was already night.

I had some little pending work to do, so I hopped in immediately and did justice to the little work. After that, I made dinner, ate, locked my house, and jumped into my bed — and that was when I decided to draft this article.
