Most annoying moment and the happiest moment in 2025
The year 2025 is coming to an end with just a few days to go, and it was a year mixed with different reactions and actions. There were a lot of fun moments, but these moments did not just come on their own; regrets and annoying experiences also happened along the way.
The most annoying thing in 2025:
I checked through my photo gallery because I have been snapping and keeping records and memories in photos for every happening in my life. While scrolling, I came across some photos that poked me so hard emotionally.

Early this year, I planted pepper plants in my garden, and knowing how disturbed the garden was last year by rodents or whatever creatures were involved, I decided to fence-cage the plants one by one with mosquito nets. I did this when the plants had grown, and while hoping they would be free from attacks, I got to the garden one day only to meet the plants chopped off in exactly the same way they were affected last year.
I was so angry and annoyed. My effort of fencing the plants one by one was completely fruitless. I was so heartbroken to the extent that I gave up on the garden entirely. Yes, I left the plants there and allowed grass to take over the place because there was nothing I could do anymore. Even if I fenced the entrance to the garden, the rodents chopping off the plants would still find their way in. I could not use poison either because native fowls (chickens) do go there to find food, and they might all die, which would be a bad act from my end.
The happiest thing this year:
I must say, one of the happiest moments of this year was when the Nigerian female football team won the African title for the 10th time.
Oh boy, that night was a dramatic one for the whole nation, especially for those who have interest in football. The match was between the host nation, Morocco, and Nigeria. The match kicked off, and just within 20 minutes, Nigeria had conceded two goals, which was strange to us Nigerians because we had not been conceding goals since the tournament kicked off.
I remember vividly that, due to heartbreak, I turned off my phone to avoid being heartbroken even more. Within about 40 minutes while I was away, a friend messaged me on WhatsApp to tell me that Nigeria had equalised and that I should go back to watching. Yo! I could not believe my eyes.
I went back to watching, and behold, the winning goal was scored just a few minutes after I joined again. The nation went noise-full in joy. It was a big night, a truly memorable one, and anytime I replay the highlights of that match, the happiness is always rekindled.
