@kiwibloke just finished a 28.78km ride, that lasted for 80 minutes.
This ride helped kiwibloke burn 1301.0 calories.

Description from Strava: Ride 2026-01-22 16:57:27 HUAWEI Band 10
The Coastline is just around the corner, maybe tomorrow.

I'm not sure if this applies to other riders, but every time I start a ride, my destination or route is not yet planned. I start along the normal route then as time goes by I'm thinking, haven't been this way in a while. So today I stopped into a Memorial Garden before heading out into the country. The local council are really making this place looking nice. Public Toilets, drinking fountains amongst the gardens. I'll throw up a picture here, also a quick stop was made in the town.

Thoughts: I'm getting much better recording with my phone while riding. As always in the back of my mind, I'll drop it, run unto the back of a parked car, or even worse, ride off the road. Let's hope none of these happen :-)

Oh, those rides without a fixed destination are really interesting. Thank you for showing us the places you cycle through. Do be careful riding with just one hand. Have you thought about getting an action camera? They’ve got mounts for the bike and helmet, and it’s much more convenient.

Cheers!

I have 2 action camera's .... my favorite is the Sony FDR-X3000 4K. Strava limits all video's to 30secs or less. Using my mobile phone just makes sense, take photo's, create short vid clips, use mobile apps SnapSeed to edit photos, YouCut to edit/create/title videos, upload to youtube/strava/X .... but for HIVE I prefer to use my office computer, that's why there's a delay for when I update my post :-)

But good point, I need to do a cycle video with the Sony. Edited with Linux Bash scritping only, no video editor, I miss it, it's been a while. Time to release my nerdy side.
