It's Sunday so it's rest day, and after an awesome early morning swim at the beach, I'm chilling at my balcony drinking a cold one thinking about how much we have achieved as @skatehive community, as well as why I'm so bullish and have commited over 6 years of my life building this community!

This is more like a freestyle post, not really thinking what I'm typing down, so excuse me for any grammatic or vocabulary mistakes. I'm just going with the flow!

And with that been said, let me tell you why ....

I'm Bullish On @Skatehive 🛹

First things first, let me tell you what Skatehive is super-quick 👇

Skatehive is a skateboarding community building a skater-owned, community operated and transparent ecosystem using blockchain as a tool!

We've been growing Skatehive since 2019, with zero funding and just a deep love for skateboarding. In that time, we've launched our own Hive-based app (https://www.skatehive.app/), sponsored skate events worldwide, and brought hundreds of skaters into web3.

With that out of the way, it's time to dive into some data! Skatehive as a community has generated over $89,000 worth of HIVE tokens as payments since 2020, and currently counts over 1600 subscribers and over 50 weekly active users!

The numbers might seem small to big communities on Hive like Hive Gaming or Photography, but keep in mind that Skatehive is not for everyone! Skatehive community is a niche, and our united passion is skateboarding 🛹

This united passion has led us to paths that I couldn’t have imagined a few years back, and we keep growing day by day! How? Thanks to our awesome community!

Bullish In Skaters ❤️

Skaters are a unique breed of people. They really understand what community is, as they're facing all sorts of struggles daily out at the streets trying to film clips! Spending time at the streets not only taught the skateboarding community to be open-minded but also accepting and respectful!

Those are rare virtues, and having a global community with hundreds of thousands of people sharing these virtues is amazing! No matter your ethnicity, colour or gender, if you skate you're my friend! And this skate love expands to other core skate stuff like skater-owned brands, building DIYs, fundraisers and of course apps!

I personally always try to give my hard earned money to skater-owned brands and support our ecosystem, as well as test out cool shit made by skaters. That's what I believe will happen with https://www.skatehive.app too, as soon as we start releasing all the cool stuff we're building!

We already have a core community and we're getting closer in releasing a fresh and more powerful version of our current social media app (check: https://my.skatehive.app/). After the new app release, onboarding will be much easier, and then our core community will get down to work, bringing their local communities onboard!

Easier said than done I guess, but with the right coordination, app features and community hype I believe we can pull this off! I really do!

Dream Big 💪

I know some people reading this will think that there's no way we can pull this off, but I disagree! Look how far we've come! From a handful of skaters posting their content onchain to a global community building its own ecosystem and parallel economy while supporting skateboarding initiatives around the planet!

Everything is falling into place! We have a solid team of contributors, global reach, a rewarding social media app, skateshops like @blessskateshop accepting HBD and Hive for skate gear, a decent $6,000 community treasury and the blessing of the skate gods with us!

When the right time comes, we'll attack web2 at full force and take over the skateboarding social media game! Not because we want to, but because we have to!

Skaters Need Skatehive

Skateboarding is underground by nature! Skateboarders are people who go against the tide, who believe in freedom of speech, in human rights and justice. But skateboarders are also people who enjoy fame, partying and money! But above all, skateboarders respect their culture!

No social media app so far has been truly built to respect the skateboarding culture, and I strongly believe that this is why Skatehive will succeed!
