My Actifit Report Card: June 3 2022

Yesterday was one of my days off from work. So I decided I’d cram in a lot of exercise. I started the day with a 5k run in 30c heat up a steep incline, which is great training. Then I did some interesting upper body and core workouts.

Later I used the new Moto to head to the sea for a dip in the cooler late afternoon.

It’s nice to be living this very balanced life, I have plenty of free time to learn, exercise and explore creativity. My Italian is feeling more natural, although still very much at a beginner level. But the immense pressure and effort required has greatly reduced :)

Hill running is great training, especially in the heat! I really struggle to run in the heat, especially if there is high humidity as well.
If you would like some different workouts to try, i have a bunch of 25 minute videos on my blog, including a series especially for runners :-)

Thank you, I guess its just about building tolerance and being careful. For example I just pushed my body to what I felt was a good limit and not beyond. Yesterday I managed 4:40/km without stopping on my 5k. Thanks for the suggestion, I will check it out. probably going to focus a lot more on running after the summer. :)

I like the way you think, pushing to a good limit is a great way to make progress with your training 👍 💪 Heat (or more precisely, being able to cool effectively) is usually the limiting factor on performance. So it could be worth working on running technique, and doing some strength training or cross training until the weather gets a little cooler 😁
