Larga vida Al 'King Carlo'.

English Version

Carlo Ancelotti is perhaps one of the best coaches of the last 25 years. He has brought achievement and success to every club he has coached.

His beginnings as a footballer

'Carletto' had a successful career as a top-level footballer. His first steps as a soccer player were taken at the historic club of Parma where other great players also came from. From the Parma club he would jump to another great club like Roma.

In Rome he would live great moments and also some difficult situations, because although he was able to win important trophies like the Scudetto and four Italian Cups, his time in Rome was full of injuries, which prevented him from playing as the player would have liked.

From Rome he would go to play for AC Milan in 1987 where he played and was a key part of a revolutionary team that transformed soccer at the time, Arrigo Sacci's Milan. A team that was full of legends and dominated European soccer.

With Milan he would win the Champions League twice, the Italian Scudetto twice, the Intercontinental Cup and the European Super Cup. In Milan Carletto would retire from professional soccer.

His career as a manager

Ancelotti's career also began at Parma, the team that gave him the opportunity to make a name for himself as a coach and try to emulate what he had done as a player, but now from the bench, without .....

Carletto's beginnings were not all good or outstanding, with Parma he managed to get a runner-up finish and the following year he achieved a sixth place in the league.

From Parma he managed to jump to the Juvetus of Turin where the demands were higher because a club as big as the Vecchia Signora expects great results.

The results were not entirely good as Juve lost the league title on the last day of the Calcio season and Carlo was runner-up the following year, which annoyed the club's most radical fans who showed disrespect towards the coach. This eventually caused Ancelotti to leave the club.

Back to Ac Milan

Months after he was sacked by Juventus Carlo Ancelotti would go to manage Ac Milan. It is here that Carletto would begin his legacy as one of the best managers of recent years.

In 2003 Ac Milan would win the UEFA Champions League in a penalty shootout against Juventus, as well as winning the Italian Cup against Roma. Coincidence or destiny, but he won his first titles against teams he knew very well or had just been fired. He also won the Scudetto the following year with the team from the capital.

Sailing in London

In 2009 Carletto left Italy to take on one of his first challenges as a manager outside his own country.

Carlo came to manage Chelsea and in his first season he achieved the double as he won the league with an all-time record of over 100 goals and also the FA Cup.

In London Carletto made a name for himself for the dominant way his teams played.

In 2011 the Parisian club would acquire the services of the Italian coach.

His first season Psg could not win the league title, however the second year the Italian would win the title with the Parisian club, a title he had not won since 1994, although in the Cup he would be eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Real Madrid

It is at Real Madrid where he would have his best stage as a coach, at least the most winning and mediatic one.

With the Spanish club he managed to win the Champions League after a long drought of the Spanish club, in addition to winning the Copa del Rey against Barcelona. In addition to achieving personal records such as 500 victories as a coach.

Bayern Munich

After managing in Spain and taking a sabbatical year, Ancelotti returned to the dugout to manage one of the biggest clubs in the world, Bayern Munich.

The German club hired the Italian to replace Pep Guardiola, Bayern wanted the Italian to emulate what he had done in Spain with Real Madrid.

However, Carlo could not win the Champions League with Bayern, but he would win a league title. He would also win the German Cup. Although his time in Germany was not what was expected of him, it was still not bad at all.

Today Carlo Ancelotti has made history by becoming the first coach in history to have won a domestic title in the five major European leagues, something that no other great coaches have done yet.

Long live 'King Carlo'.

I feel he understands Madrid better. This was why it was easy for him to go right back. I have a huge admiration for him... His calmness and tactical awareness too.

I totally agree Ancelotti is one of the best coaches today, few can match his achievements. I liked that you also talked about his career as a player because it seems to me that to talk about him only as a great coach would be to underestimate his great career as a player. Carletto is one of those few who has triumphed in all facets of the sport, truly a great!
