Nick Walker The new Arnold Eng-Esp

Nick Walker is one of those surprises that are always nice to see because they tend to break the established and make more than one lose in their bets, I always like to see that.

Walker has not been a professional bodybuilder for long, competing professionally for no more than a year, but he has already won one of the most important competitions in the sport, the Arnold Classic 2021 edition, which obviously honors possibly the most famous bodybuilder of all time, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and perhaps the toughest name in the world.

The 27-year-old took the cheers by beating competition favorites Iain Valliere and Steve Kuclo. Walker with this win has made his way to the Mister Olympia to be held this month, having previously won the New York Pro; he is now a strong contender for the gold medal.

Maybe those of you who know me in person might be confused by the photo above thinking it's me, but it's Nick Walker, we look a little bit alike no more. What a good joke.

The Mutant, as Walker calls himself, is the new sensation in the world of bodybuilding, and no wonder. Walker is not physically imposing, funny to say this to a bodybuilder, isn't it?

Well, he is about 1.70 meters tall and weighs about, which is not the 1.88 m (6 ′ 2 ″) that Arnold measures, but has a weight of 115 kilograms, something already in line with the profession he practices.

Last year's competition could not be held because of the pandemic, Nick was the one who benefited the most from this as he was able to become the youngest winner in the last thirty years. The trophy was handed to him by the great Arnold himself, who congratulated the competitors.

Nick has his own Youtube channel that he updates constantly, where he uploads his routines and parts of his training for competitions, where you can see Walker a little more intimate and close in his day to day. This serves as a great motivation for kids who are thinking about joining this sport discipline.

Just as Walker was once inspired by his idol Jay Cutler, who has an endless list of accomplishments throughout his career, I'm sure many others will look to Nick for inspiration. The way to become a leyanda is to win the Mister Olympia, his idol Cutler knows this very well, as he won it four times, maybe he shares a couple of tips with him.

Now I am not a follower of this sport, it calls my attention a little to see the amount of muscle that you can get to have in the body, but nothing more. Bodybuilding has a fan base that is quite loyal and perhaps a little small.

One question that often comes to mind when I see the bodies of these athletes is how healthy does this sport become? Can it be considered a sport?

To reach those levels of muscle mass is impossible to do naturally, so artificial supplements must be used and the number of athletes who cheat must be very high and this will be an advantage over those who do not.

Where do you draw the line on what is fair and what is cheating? How good is this for the health of the athletes, I don't know, nor do I have answers, just questions.
Congratulations to my twin brother Nick.

Enhorabuena a mi hermano gemelo Nick.

I must admit I look at this as more of a freak show and not really a sport. How desperate must someone be to even do this and worse yet they spray their bodies to help define their muscles. I know someone who does this "sport" and he isn't normal either.

Uff how difficult it must be to manage so many muscles, that's crazy, but it is said that in the Lord's vineyard there is everything.

I respect it as a sport, it's actually hard to maintain a physique like this. I understand it's not everyone cup of tea, I think I tolerate it more since I watch MMA, and Strength is becoming important.

Nice post!
