Ver en esta década la final de un torneo con los nombres de Djokovic y Nadal en el cartel principal, es estar ante la escritura en vivo de un capítulo de la historia deportiva, una gran historia que ha abarcado ya tres décadas, desde aquel mes de agosto de 2007 en el Masters 1000 de Montreal.

Claro está, que a Nole no le veo en su mejor momento ¿Será por efectos de la pausa realizada luego de Australia? No lo sé, tampoco es que se le ve tan mal, ha mostrado algunos destellos que siguen causando furor, porque en verdad ha quedado demostrado que la memoria es corta, dado que, con lo que ya hemos visto hasta el día de hoy, por parte de estos “aparente seres superiores” debería ser suficiente para no tener más dudas. Ahora bien, si este señor nacido en Serbia, vuelve a conseguir su ritmo demoledor, la mencionada next gen tendrá que esperar mucho tiempo más. Por los momentos, recuerdo las palabras de Dominic Thiem, cuando apenas iniciaba la temporada sobre arcilla, en las cuales decía claramente: Con miras al Roland Garros, ¡es Rafael Nadal el hombre a vencer! No había sido tan acertado su comentario hace casi dos meses, porque la fiera está de regreso (Sobre este tema hice una reciente publicación), en el caso del big three, cada vez que uno de sus integrantes pisa una cancha de tenis, como jugador activo, está haciendo historia, mayor ponderación si llegan a una final y la presencia de una dimensión desconocida, si les vemos disputar una final.
