"Sangre Nueva" // Holger Rune supera a Djokovic en Roma. [Esp - Eng]

Si a muchos nos sorprendió la eliminación del "Invencible" Carlos Alcaraz a manos del joven húngaro Fabián Maroszán en su debut, no es menos destacable que haya sucedido algo similar con el legendario Novak Djokovic a manos de Holger Rune. A pesar de que ya existía un precedente entre el serbio y el danés, el año pasado en un torneo del mismo calibre en la final de Paris; me incluyo entre la mayoría que esperaba la reaparición del Nº1 del mundo, en uno de los eventos que mejor le ha ido en su prolifera carrera deportiva con 6 títulos, pero hoy el "Foro Itálico" vería algo distinto.

Se trata de la octogésima edición del Masters de Roma, en la que desde hace mucho tiempo no se veía la eliminación consecutiva, de los primeros cabezas de serie y que ahora refleja una ventana abierta para los tenistas que siguen en competición, para optar con mayores posibilidades al título, en la arcilla de la capital italiana. Y es que, aunque no veía competir a Nole desde hace casi un mes, siempre hay que tenerle presente; dado que su sola presencia le precede como favorito en cualquier campeonato, además que se trataba del N°1 del ranking ATP.

Desde el primer pelotazo pude ver al joven Rune rebosante de confianza, lanzado al ataque sin ningún complejo; y lo mejor de su propuesta es que no sacó el pie del acelerador durante todo el set. Ese aparente desgane de Nole, se tradujo en un 6-2 que en 36 minutos dejó en evidencia que el vigente campeón de Roma, estaba en la posición del ratón siendo cazado por un gato joven pero bien preparado. Con las acciones igualadas en la segunda manga pensé ¿Qué harás ahora Novak? Porque Djokovic se tenía que esforzar mucho para concretar cada punto; esto por el hecho de que Holger llegaba sin problemas a los tiros angulados del serbio. Con solo dos pasos hacia los lados podía alcanzar la pelota y a eso le llamo velocidad y capacidad de respuesta.

Y si algo tuvo que pasar para que Nole reviviera, pues sucedió; una decisión errónea por parte del juez de silla, favoreció al serbio y desconcentró un poco al danés. Esto permitió el quiebre al 6to game, pero no todo estaba dicho porque Holger recuperó el break al 9no, con un drop que hizo deslucir al campeón; sin embargo Novak lleno de experiencia le devolvió el favor, con un tiro idéntico y pudo sellar con otro quiebre el 6-4 en más de 50 minutos. Pero el 3er set fue una réplica del 1ero; volvió a imponerse el dominio del muchacho danés para no dejar lugar a dudas.
