A Small Squarer

Today I decided to take a walk along Francisco Solano Avenue after running some errands. While walking, I came across this small plaza near the avenue. I was able to see these sculptures made by the artist Colette Delozanne. Located between Las Delicias Avenue and Francisco Solano López, it is called Gran Lugar del Alba.

Una Pequeña Plazar

Hoy decidí darme una caminata por la avenida Francisco Solano, después de hacer unas diligencias personales, al caminar me encontré esta pequeña plaza cercana a la avenida, pude observar estas esculturas realizadas por el artista Colette Delozanne, ubicada entre la Avenida de Las Delicias con Francisco Solano López, lleva por nombre Gran Lugar del Alba.

I was surprised by how pleasant it turned out to be, the very small plaza located in a well-used space and where there were some people resting right at midday rush hour, on the side of the plaza a large wall with a mural, and exercise equipment, also in the background we see a playground and in the center a bust of Marshal Francisco Solano, a heroic Paraguayan soldier, who died in the Battle of Cerro Corá

Me sorprendió lo agradable que resultó ser, la plaza muy pequeña ubicada en un espacio bien aprovechado y donde me había algunas personas descansando justo a la hora pico del mediodía, en el costado de la plaza un gran paredón con un mural, y aparatos para hacer ejercicios, también al fondo vemos un parque infantil y en el centro un busto del Mariscal Francisco Solano, militar heroico paraguayo, que murió en la Batalla de Cerro Corá

From the moment I settled down to rest a little, I felt calm. Despite the sun, the trees provided shade and the air was fresh. People passed by, some greeting me with a smile, others deep in conversation. Then I continued through a few streets until I reached Chacaíto.

Desde el momento en que me dispuse a descansar un poco, sentí calma. A pesar del sol, los árboles daban sombra y el aire estaba fresco. La gente pasaba, algunos saludando con una sonrisa, otros en sus conversaciones. Luego continué por algunas calles hasta llegar a Chacaíto.

I continued walking, enjoying the colorful murals that adorn the walls of the boulevard. Whenever I pass by, I always take a photo of this metal sculpture by Master Jesús Soto. It's part of the Caracas Metro collection. From here, I continued to the Chacaíto Shopping Center. I took a few pictures from the third floor. I also couldn't resist this one, where the building reflects what's in front of it. I loved that shot. Afterward, I visited a few shops and then went home. I was a little hungry, but happy to have completed my activity today. It's wonderful to rediscover our city every day.

Seguí caminando, disfrutando de los murales coloridos que adornan las paredes del bulevar. Cuando paso por aquí siempre no dejo de tomar alguna foto de esta escultura metálica realizada por el Maestro Jesús Soto, ella forma parte de las obras de colección del Metro de Caracas, de aquí seguí al Centro Comercial Chacaíto, tomé algunas imágenes desde el tercer piso, tampoco pude resistirme en tomar esta imagen donde el edificio refleja lo que tiene al frente, me encanto esa toma. Luego visité algunas tiendas y después, me fui a casa. Tenía algo de hambre, pero contenta de haber cumplido con mi actividad de hoy, es maravilloso redescubrir nuestra ciudad cada día.
