A Sunday of Encounter

My day consisted of a walk through the city center. I wanted to enjoy it; the weather was nice and the streets were quiet, without the noise of traffic and street vendors. As I passed through the plaza, I was surprised to see so many people relaxing, spending a long time together. It's the space designated for Sunday gatherings. Many people, especially older adults, come to talk about the history of the place, and it's also a place to meet up with friends.

Un Domingo De Encuentro

Mi día fue una caminata por el centro de la ciudad, quería disfrutarlo hacía buen tiempo y las calles estaban tranquilas, no hay el bullicio del tráfico y ventas ambulantes. Al pasar por la plaza, me sorprendió ver tantas personas en modo de relax, compartiendo largo rato, es el espacio dispuesto para las reuniones del domingo. Mucha gente, sobre todo adultos mayores, vienen a platicar sobre la historia del lugar y también, es un sitio de compartir con amigos.

When you arrive at the plaza, you are always filled with a lot of energy. First, memories of our childhood surface, and second, the atmosphere always has a radiant joy that is contagious. A very constant scene is seeing children running after the pigeons that live in the place and some squirrels that jump on the branches of the trees, looking for something to eat.

Cuando llegas a la plaza siempre te impregnas de muchas energías, primero los recuerdos de nuestra niñez afloran, y segundo el ambiente siempre tiene una alegría radiante que te contagia, una escena muy constante es que vez los niños corretear tras las palomas que hacen vida en el lugar y algunas ardillas que saltan en las ramas de los árboles, en busca de que le den algo de comer.

Today I decided to spend time with some friends, and this is our meeting place. While I wait for them, I'm taking some photos to pass the time. This get-together is mainly about strengthening our friendship and planning a future meeting to celebrate the holidays. It's an effort we make, because despite the hustle and bustle of daily life, we always manage to find time to connect and cherish the memories we've shared for so long.

Hoy decidí compartir con unos amigos y este lugar es el sitio de encuentro, mientras que los espero, camino para obtener algunas fotos y ganar tiempo. Este encuentro busca más que todo estrechar los lazos de amistad y concretar una próxima reunión para celebrar los días navideños. Es un esfuerzo que hacemos, que, a pesar del ajetreo de todos los días, siempre podemos buscar un espacio para conectarnos y no olvidar esos momentos que compartimos durante mucho tiempo.
