Argentina - Generating a bit of adrenaline by conquering a new zip line. / Generando un poco de adrenalina al conquistar una nueva tirolesa. 😅❣️

Sometimes I find it strange the way my brain works: it can't be calm in an innocent boat on the quietest lake in the world but it seems to be unaffected that it is hanging on a cable several meters high. I guess I feel safe tied to something without having to depend on my physical abilities, although there is also a real risk in the former. Anyway, I don't know what happens, just that every time I see a zip line that is within my reach and it looks great, it makes me want to get on it and the one at Los Reyunos beach in Mendoza was no exception 💛.

A veces me resulta rara la manera en la que actúa mi cerebro: no puede estar tranquilo en un inocente bote en el lago más quieto del mundo pero parece no afectarle que esté colgada en un cable a varios metros de altura. Supongo que me siento segura atada a algo sin tener que depender de mis habilidades físicas, aunque en lo primero también exista un riesgo real. En fin, no sé lo que sucede, solo que cada vez que veo una tirolesa que está a mi alcance y se ve genial, me dan ganas de subirme y la de la playa de Los Reyunos en Mendoza no fue la excepción 💛.

As I told you in my post about our tour through Los Reyunos in the province of Mendoza, we arrived at this part of Diamante Lake where there were several activities to do such as nautical tours, horseback riding, hiking and 4x4 rides. But the one that caught our attention the most was the zip line that passed right above us while we were on the beach. Every 5 minutes a person passed by hanging and it was impossible not to look up due to the screams they gave 😂.

Como les conté en mi post sobre nuestro paseo por Los Reyunos en la provincia de Mendoza, llegamos a esta parte del Lago Diamante en donde habían varias actividades para hacer como paseos náuticos, cabalgatas, caminatas y paseos en 4x4. Pero la que más llamaba nuestra atención era la tirolesa que pasaba justo por arriba de nosotros mientras estábamos en la playa. Cada 5 minutos pasaba una persona colgada y era imposible no levantar la vista debido a los gritos que daban 😂.

I, who am a difficult person to convince and persuade, immediately decided that I wanted to throw myself from there. If everyone was screaming so much, it was surely because it must have been very good. I looked for a companion among my group of friends, but they were all afraid or did not want to do it, until the only one who said yes was my sister-in-law. This made everything even more fun, although I was willing to go alone if it had to be 😅.

Yo, que soy una persona difícil de convencer y persuadir, enseguida decidí que quería arrojarme desde allí. Si todos pasaban gritando tanto seguro era porque debía estar muy bueno. Busqué alguna acompañante entre mi grupo de amigas, pero todas tenían miedo o no querían hacerlo, hasta que la única que dijo que si fue mi cuñada. Esto hizo todo aún más divertido, aunque yo estaba dispuesta a ir sola si así tenía que ser 😅.

It had been almost a year since the last time I went on a zipline. And it is that Buenos Aires, where I live, is a fairly flat province where there are almost no spaces to do this type of thing, so while we are traveling near some mountain we have to take advantage. The ticket to do this activity cost us 1500 ARS (7.5 USD) but for me it is completely worth it because it could be another year until I get back on one of these 😂.

Ya había pasado casi un año desde la última vez que me subí a una tirolesa. Y es que Buenos Aires, en donde yo vivo, es una provincia bastante plana en donde casi no hay espacios para hacer este tipo de cosas, así que mientras estamos de viaje cerca de alguna montaña hay que aprovechar. El ticket para hacer esta actividad nos costó 1500 ARS (7.5 USD) pero para mí vale completamente la pena porqué podría pasar otro año hasta que me vuelva a subir a uno de estos 😂.

The difference that this zip line had with respect to others that I did before is that this harness holds you from the chest and you launch yourself flying like Superman. The other zip lines that I did you are sitting in the harness, with your hands holding a rope and your legs crossed. This 'tirobangi' experience was totally new and exciting since having your limbs unoccupied gives you an enormous adrenaline rush and you have to dare to get off the ground just before jumping 😅.

La diferencia que tuvo esta tirolesa con respecto a otras que hice antes es que este arnés te sujeta desde el pecho y te lanzas volando como Superman. Las demás tirolesas que hice vas sentado en el arnés, con las manos sujetando una cuerda y las piernas cruzadas. Esta experiencia de 'tirobangi' fue totalmente nueva y emocionante ya que tener las extremidades desocupadas te da una ligereza adrenalínica enorme y hay que animarse a despegarse del piso justo antes de saltar 😅.

This zip line connects two mountains with a total distance of more than 500 meters and the maximum height is 50. In total, the launch lasts about 30 seconds that while you are up there they become eternal because your heart begins to beat a thousand per hour. I think that one of the reasons that makes me feel safe in these types of activities is that many people use them, so they must be very safe. Or at least that's what I want to convince myself while I'm up there 😂.

Esta tirolesa conecta dos montañas con un trayecto total de más de 500 metros y la altura máxima es de 50. En total el lanzamiento dura unos 30 segundos que mientras estás ahí arriba se hacen eternos porque el corazón te empieza a latir a mil por hora. Creo que una de las razones que me hacen sentir sentir segura en este tipo de actividades es que mucha gente los usa, por lo que deben ser muy seguros. O por lo menos de eso me quiero convencer mientras estoy ahí arriba 😂.

Here is the full video filmed by my sister, who was in charge of portraying the feat 😂. I look very calm but I got a little nervous when I saw how high up we were and the immensity of the lake and the mountains. Either way it was fun ❣️.

Aquí está el video completo filmado por mi hermana, quién fue la encargada de retratar la hazaña 😂. Me veo muy tranquila pero me invadieron un poco los nervios al ver lo alto que estábamos y la inmensidad del lago y las montañas. De cualquier forma fue divertido ❣️.

Once we got to the other side of the line, we went down the mountain a bit and a boat took it upon herself to pick us up and bring us back to this side of the lake. My heart was still racing a while after I took off my harness which was funny because even though I was shaking a little I assured everyone that I had a good time. Now it only remains to be seen what will be the new zip line that crosses my path and if it manages to intimidate me or not 😅.

Una vez que llegamos al otro lado de la línea, bajamos un poco por la montaña y una embarcación se encargó de ir a buscarnos y traernos de nuevo a este lado del lago. Mi corazón aún seguía acelerado un tiempo después de haberme sacado el arnés lo cual me causaba gracia porque a pesar de estar temblando un poco les aseguraba a todos que la pasé bien. Ahora solo queda ver cuál va a ser la nueva tirolesa que me cruce en el camino y si logra intimidarme o no 😅.
