My Actifit Report Card: November 13 2023

avatar

Hello friends and Happy Monday Night!
Thank you for stopping by, much appreciated!
This is a report for today's activities, though it was no much..
It's still raining here,

But I believe it's the end - Yay!
The storm is blowing away, finally it's been raining since last Thursday!
So I got the numbers from a quick trip to the convince store, and cleaning the house, those photos I will spare you!
I did also peek out a few times so,
I noticed "in the rain" a neighbor out up a new Windmill, cool!

Looking at it, it's probably for water, but you never know..
A view through the little "park" (no idea what else to call it) here in the rain,

And a little better view where you can see a bit more,

It got "dark"!

Thank you so much again, for stopping by - "I appreciate it"!
Have an Amazing Tuesday!
Stay Blessed, Happy, and Safe!

Congrats on the standings! And wishing You luck on keeping yourself up there!

Thank you, I really appreciate it! I was enthralled by Hive's technology and potential from pretty much as soon as I got here, and I've been all in ever since! I hope that you're able to get that badge! I may get it this year! I'm getting close! Indeed, it is work, but as far as work goes I generally enjoy it!

Than you so much again! Everything I do is equally for everyone else here as it is for me, as we're all interconnected, and I want us all to thrive on HIve!

I hope that your new week is utterly brilliant! Likewise! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Wow! That's interesting!
I am one of the original renegades from Steem. Yep been here from day one - believe it or not! 🤣
The platform has done things for me beyond the platform itself!
When I first got here the art I posted doesn't even compare, and for that I do thank HIVE!

I am pretty sure that I will, unless I suddenly am unable to post it something...

Yes, on HIVE we are all interconnected, but most of us here are "not" so jnterconnected with Society in general. Most of the older members for sure!

Thank You again! Wishing You an Amazing Mid-Week!

Double wow, to have that much time and history on Hive before it was Hive! I know several people from the Steem days that are still active, which is very cool to see!

Hive is like nothing that I've ever encountered before! It has its challenges for sure, but I love it!

That's so interesting about many of us not being so interconnected in regular society! That's definitely true for me, I mean, I live naked and barefooted off-grid in the jungle in one of the most isolated places on earth!

You're most welcome, and thank you! Have a magnificent midweek! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Yes indeed!
It has been something to watch for sure... In the first days I don't think anybody knew it would come to this, but it has! I also saw HIVE go over $2.00! And it stayed there awhile and slowly drifted to now... In those months - you earned some money on a post!

HIVE is quite awesome to be sure. What I notice (over time) is that the people who stay and make something out of this are basically pretty much the same.
It "is" like somebody made something (I know that's not true) to attract a certain crowd - mostly more intellectual ones...
I joked with someone here a year ago or so, and said it is really like "we" are programming a "AI" brain...🤔

I know what you mean...
Imagine that NJ will drive you to run for the jungle! 😅😂😅
But.... It seems to be true...

Thanks Again and Happy Thursday to You!

I have no doubt! I would have loved to have found Hive much earlier, perhaps when it was still Steem/Steemit, as I'd be much farther along now! Everything happened at the time it was supposed to happen I think, though. I don't know if I would have fully grasped Hive's potential if I had found it more than two years ago.

Yes, I remember HIVE being over $1 when I first got here, and I remember some of the post payouts even then!

This sort of thing fascinates me, as I've noticed that those who do stay and grow do seem to share much in commnon.

I've thought about that kind of thing from time to time, and if Hive were centrally-controlled, I'd have to agree. Hive peeps, overall, are definitely a bit different from the norm, which I very much appreciate!

Yep, regardless of the notable challenges to living where and how I do, I'd still choose this over NJ, or pretty much anywhere else!

You're most welcome, of course! Thank you! May your Thursday be brilliant! I power up to dolphin level today! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Hello There my friend!
The "good old days"! 🤣
Actually I discovered Steem long before I got started... The whole "front end" thing through me though and it took a year before I found a front end and the whole concept made some sense. And funny wise even totally different it was more like ecency than Peakd.
Yes the payouts were glorious! At that time this thing was making money, now it seems almost in total role reversal...
But one thing holds true...
The top 14% make 95% of the money, actually at the time it was 98%....

It is quite amazing as HIVE attracts many different people from all over, but somehow they are all the same, meaning more intelligent than the average.
And you know, I know people who could/would benefit from being here...
They say the whole thing is too complicated from the keys going forward...
Now... Maybe that's the first "gate", and keeps HIVE as it is. It definitely keeps out the lazy, unmotivated, and totally self - serving types. He he he!

Well I would agree with you. Although I will be honest, "Europe has a coolness you will not find anywhere in the U.S. and I do miss it, a great deal"... On the flip side, "everyone I knew/know over there would Love to be here", and it is what I talked about often myself while there - "in the snow"..🤭
And so, yes I am living in my dream... And no, no ready to trade - but could use a European Vacation...😉
You can only eat so much "Tex - Ass"!
🤣😅🤣

Congrats on the Dolphin! 🐬
I did a "massive" powerdown in July/August so I will mot see that anytime soon...

Thanks again and have an Amazing weekend!
Stay "Blessed, Safe, and Happy!
🙏🏼🌄🙏🏼

I was very curious about Steem vs the main front-end, Steemit. Were there others? That's so interesting about the percentage of those who make the most here! Wowsers! I'll get there, but when I do, I want to share the wealth with as many as I can!

Given that there is a learning curve to Hive, I think that is the main filter that gives that result of a similar sort of people here. I don't mind it, and I actually appreciate it quite a bit!

Yes, I know that Europe does have its own special coolness factor! It's funny, I've had Europeans think that I am European! May your European vacation come soon for you!

Thank you so much! I still can barely believe how much I grew my HP! Well, I hope that you put your powered down Hive to good use!

Absolutely, you're very welcome! Thank you! May your weekend be exceptional! Sounds beautiful to me, and so very likewise!😁🙏💚✨🤙

Hi there and yes there was, is "maybe"? I still have about 200 Steem...🤷🏼‍♀️
But yeah, that was the thing... WordPress wanted you to pay to add Steem to your blog (which I didn't have anyways...). Then I found "Partico" I don't know if they are still around, it was essentially a watered down version of ecency. Not as fancy, but they gave out "Partico Points" as well... That was the front end I used to get started. Then I found ecency it had a slightly different name on Steem.

Yeah, when you think about it, it may be the best part! It keeps out "a lot, but not all trash"! 🤭 I am happy about it as well, though I do think this...
We are at 6.5 million members.. and about 500,000 regular posters (numbers are best estimates) or even a little less...
So... I figure at 15 million members and then double the regular posters we "start making serious cash" here that will be sustainable!😉😅🤣

Yeah, it's a Great thing! I am going to take the Vacation for sure... Hope I don't like it too much..🤭😉😅
I have a "lifetime unlimited visa" for Germany! 🤣🤣🤣
It's an Amazing thing really...
In the "right place" I would live in Esslingen/Stuttgart or Darmstat...
I would not (except Austin, naa...) live near any city in the U.S.!
That people think your European is a good sign! 👍🏼

Congrats, you have done well here!
The only competition to you I know has "things under their shirts"..🤭😉😅

The Hive got a little waisted as I had no idea how much it was going to cost me to move and re-establish myself. But again, that was a part of the goal whem I got started - and it did work!

Thanks again and Marvelous Sunday to You!

Oh OK, cool to know! You could send your 200 STEEM to your Hive account via a SWAP.STEEM address if you'd like, as it's quite easy to do.

That's so fascinating to hear about other front-ends! I only knew about Steemit!

Yes, even though I think that the onboarding process could be a better overall, I'm happy that the initial challenges act as such an effective filter.

6.5 million accounts, whoa! I knew that there were a few hundred thousand regular to fairly-regular accounts, which is still crazy to me that it's so low! I've been super active for most of my time here.

Thank you, I really appreciate that! I love and believe in Hive do I gave it, and give it, my all, every day.

I can even imagine having grown and account on Steem, and then having to star all over again on Hive! Yipes! Maybe it's better that I going Hive when I did! I've been active on Hive for a bit over 68% of the time it's existed!

You're very welcome, certainly! Thank you! Have a sublimely sweet Sunday! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Hi there and thanks for the info! As in the first days of HIVE I was double dipping (same post on both chains) I never thought about it. Though....
You just have me a good idea..🤔😉😁

At the time there were several, plus Peakd and ecency were front ends for Steem as well.

Yes, getting started... And yes the "early hurdles" are good. We don't want this to becoming a "haven for the weak minded looking for beer money"! 😅🤣😅
Actually, there are a few of them here already...😲

I know what you mean! It is crazy that the "active member count" is so low. Most people (newer ones) don't really want to put in the work to be known here.
Which is stupid. There are other factors as well, and there are other places like this - not with the same "mentality" though. Which may also be it.
As a guy, I don't remember his name - Stephen something on Steem said...
"Getting someone going on Steem is like giving a kid the keys to a Ferrari "!
Too bad that they don't see that over here!

I believe you, I Love HIVE myself! There is a lot here that I won't find in my daily life here. And it fits me - I think! 😄

It sounds like it, but...
On day one - everyone here was from Steem. And if you were here it was because the people who created HIVE (and believe me, this must have been planned beforehand - they were only waiting for an opportunity) invited you from Steem, so it was a bit closer knit than now.

Your welcome and thank You as well!
Hoping your Sunday was Sublime also and wishing you an Amazing New Week!

Hiya again! Sure thing, you're very welcome! Ah, OK, so a mirrored life on both blockchains for a while...🤣 I'm happy that you got a useful idea from our conversations!

That's cool, I didn't know that PeakD and Ecency began so early. Do you know if Steem still has multiple front-ends?

Yep, some initial hurdles are good I don't want Hive to be like Facebook, that is for sure!

It's so interesting, I could clearly see the incredible potential of Hive as soon as I got here, which is partly why I'm so all-in-for-the-long-haul focused, committed, dedicated, determined, and tenacious. It's funny how some can see it and others not so much.

Haha...I like the analogy! I see Hive that way!

Yes, Hive is a very special place, with generally very cool people, and I think it definitely does suit me!

That's interesting to hear....hrmmm...I'm curious a about the closer knit part. There are some communities on Hive like that.

Of course, you're very welcome again! Thank you, and very likewise! Have an incredible new week! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Hello there, and I did it for a few months..
But "HIVE" generally frowns on that, but I still know a few that do...
Well, I think I will "shelve" the idea for now... I do have a lot of things going on already! 😂

Yes these things have been around awhile... I have no idea what is going on on Steem currently, but I am sure there are a few front ends out there.

No... We don't want this to be another Fakebook at all! And sometimes it scares me when I look at the feed.. Some do want to go there...

HIVE is a funny thing, and you do have to look long term - and you do have to be willing to do something. Some (like my sister for example...) "think" they will make more money on YouTube... That is like playing the lottery, I know... And here is the kicker!
I started a little contest with my sister when I started on Steem.. We wanted to see who would make more $$$ faster...
Here we are, it's over 4 years later..
I have cashed in probably $2000 in all and still have some, plus it always goes a little faster... He he he...
She is telling me she is close to having the subscribers (still lacking views though) to start making money...😲
Typical NJ brain... Little does she think if it has taken this long to be allowed to make money... "How long will it take to see any"??? Crazy! 😱

Yes HiVE is like having an "alternative " retirement plan.. he he he!😉
And that's what they don't see, plus honestly"HIVE" is a money making platform, "no bones about it". If your thinking "social media for money" you will miss that element, the other things going on here...

Well (back to the hurdles...) No matter how you think left or right, this is an envision progressive thinkers. That is the best part. And the fact (with time) you can turn HIVE into a "micro business".

Yeah, I personally think that the "communities" thing is maybe not so good and definitely makes it rough for new members. I liked it better when it was not such a big deal, but that ship has sailed.. It is how it is...
But it does help with the filtering process!

Oh I just remembered... Ecency was Esteem! That was the old name, I had forgotten!

And,
Thanks again, and have an Amazing rest of the Week!

Yep, that's true. I did something similar for a while between Hive and Bastyon, another sovereignty-driven blockchain where I was very active before discovering Hive (Bastyon is where I made the funds that I used to do my massive powerup), though I always posted on Hive first.

Yep, nope, no fakebooking here!

I agree about the long-term vision and willingness to put in the work necessary to thrive on Hive. I've got it, which why I've been so all in pretty much since I got here! I actually know quite a few people like that, who unknowingly give their time and energy to platforms that truly do not warrant it.

I treat Hive just like my own personal business, giving it the time, attention, energy, focus, and effort that is required to build and grow here. I'm really hoping that the present heated discussion about possibly removing the reward pool does not get traction.

The strong community focus here was a bit off putting when I first arrived here. Now I take it as a matter of course, of course!

There right! I do remember that name, Esteem! PeakD had another name too, didn't it?

You're most welcome, of course! Thank you! Have a tremendous Thursday, and rest of your week! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Hello There, happy Thursday Eve.!
To be honest, to make HIVE work you have to be kinda "all in". Because if you start splitting up your time - unless you are one of the very top people here, it shows, and everything will grind to a halt.
I never heard of Bastyon before?
Here there is also the "Blurt" derivative...

That is what it takes, long term vision, to stay with this until it is working on its own - and it can...😉

It's terrible! I watch a few of them too... They have dreams of grandeur - literally! Not making a dime, spending lots (cameras, mics, etc..), on a platform that advertises on their content! It is so, so crazy!

I was unaware of a discussion to remove the reward pool? How is that meaned? For up votes on posts, for posts themselves? You know in the beginning it was (approx.) 70% for the author and the up voters split 30% I think...
Whatever, I hope not as well.. It's comfortable as it is! 👍🏼

Yeah, the community thing is just a part of it now.. And yep you just get used to it!

I don't remember PeakD having another name. I think it's the same, they ran parallel as well for a short time and then just shut the Steem operation down.

Thanks again My friend!
Happy Friday, Stay Blessed, Happy, and Safe!

Hiya! Happy late Thursday now! I very much agree with the all-in aspect of success here! Indeed, at these early stages consistency is essential. At some point the growth will snowball and happen in large part on its own, and until then I am relentless!

Bastyon is still cool, and I'm becoming active there again, to continue growing. Yep, I'm aware of Blurt, but I'll still take Hive!

Long-term vision, comittment, dedication, determination, patience, persistence, perserverence, and tenacity!

Yep, for the people that want to succeed on fakesteam platforms, I've got nothing to say, other than good luck!

The present discussiom about the idea to remove the reward pool is to counter the inappropriate use of AI and downvotes. It's only in the discussion stage, and there are a lot of people not OK with the idea, thankfully. Author and curation rewards as far as I know, definitely author rewards. Our present system may not be perfect, but it's far from broken, and it does a huge amount of good!

I could have sworn the I heard of another name that they had...hrmm. OK, I was wondering if they did things in parallel for a while. So they did eventually shut down the Steem side of things.

You're most welcome, certainly! Thank you! Happy and beautiful Friday to you! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Hello there, and as you can see I am "catching up" again!
You funny thing about this here... Except for "interest" things may not "snowball"... Just keeping it real, as I have noticed a few things...
About a year ago I got more HIVE in up votes, much more even if you take into account the difference in HIVE price. The next thing is "followers" have slowed, way down...
Now this may be due to my content, but I don't think so...🤔
I am going to look into Bastyon as I have no idea about it or how it works, and extra cash, is extra cash...😉

My main thing will remain HIVE. Over the last four years I have met some cool folks here, and I do like the way this "should" work.

Fakebook Posters! 😅😂😅
I am just glad that I personally see it for what it is. In the regard I have become a person that says, "That's OK". If you want to do that, then that's what you want to do"...🙄

Well... I definitely do not want them to remove the reward pool. It will make it even more difficult to recruit new users, and cut into what those here already have going on. Now I totally understand the "downvote" problem... It should be removed - Totally!

I think they went from "SteemPeakd" to "Peaked".. But that may be it.

Thanks Again and wishing you a Great New Week!
Stay Blessed, Happy, and Safe!

Hiya! Yep, I see! We'll, yes, when I say 'snowball', I mean the interest of the various tokens. Hive is a machine for compounding interest and exponential growth, and as such, if managed well, one can indeed live off of it at some point.

Yes, whereas Hive should be of immense interest to everyone, it seems only the die-hards really stay, dig in, and grow here as of late.

Bastyon has its quirks, but it's still a great Blockchain.Qortal too, where I am also now growing, though Qortal is a very different animal.

My main focus will also remain on Hive, but I love to create cross-blockchain synergy. The only mainstream platform that I use now is X, and I only recently recreated a profile there.

Yes, I truly don't think that the idea to remove the reward pool will get much support, thankfully. I don't have too much trouble with the downvote option, but I don't think that it should be used in a coordinated way to drive people off the Blockchain.

Ah, yes, if was SteemPeak! That's it!

You're very welcome, of course! Thank you so much, and very likewise! May it be brilliant! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Hello There, and yep, that's what I was referring to...
Unless you find a way to make a new profitable community or something, mint a coin and cash in on yourself...
The next real option is the interest...
Which can snowball, immensely!

Yeah seems so except in poorer countries, where I have watched unbelievable growth... Venezuela, or anywhere in Africa for example. But here in the States... Not really...

I checked on Qortal, this looks interesting.. I will let you know if I sign up! Bastyon as well!

I am feeling the same... I want to get a little bit more going myself, I am just working on the time element, what would be my best investment of it..🤔
Though undoubtedly I also will keep HIVE as the main deal. I think the object of the game is (when possible) to build up a fat HBD savings and cash in on the 20% interest. So again make it there and save it here kind of thing.

I am glad of the reward pool thing not becoming popular. I had not heard about this so I am glad you made me aware!
But yeah, something has to be done about the downvoters. No problems as of late... But I have seen times where for a few weeks straight they will descend on you and bring your post down to almost zero...

Thanks again my friend, especially for the useful block chain info!

Take Care and have an Amazing Thursday!
✨🌄✨

Hello again! Yes, the interest, in both layer 1 and layer 2, can so some quite amazing things with the magic of compounding! I focused on building and growing that in any way that I'm able!

Yes, Hive is definitely catching on much more quickly in areas with poor economic situations, and for good reasons. Even though I live in the US, where I live allows me to live very differently from most. Luckily I don't care one wit about what others think or so, and I do my own thing, which includes Hive as a main focus.

Marvelous! Yes, let me know if you dive into either!

I love being active on three blockchains, though Hive will always be a primary focus! I'm still learning how to refine and hone how I use my time, to make it work with everything I want and need to do. No easy task!

Yes, I want to keep checking in on the reward-pool discussion, but so far I haven't seen any notable support for the idea, thankfully. I've been letting as many people know as I can, as it's a super important issue!

I've seen the posts of multiple people zeroed out completely by malicious downvoting. Not cool. Many have left over that issue, sadly.

You're very welcome, of course! Let me know how it goes with Bastyon and Qortal!

Thank you! Have an incredible Thursday! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Hello My friend and yes indeed, the interest thing - especially on HBD's at 20% is something that you will not find elsewhere, on top of everything else.

I have not made it to sign up for either of the other block chains yet - but seriously want something to happen in this direction this week.

Yes, between the interest, and the position - given the idea that HIVE will take off someday is a perfect reason to keep it going. Yes in poor countries a HIVE token may be the equivalent of one of their dollars. If that's the case HIVE is probably the best thing you can do with your time, short and long term.

Yes the biggest thing for me right now is indeed "time". I will have to make more of that, but also... Summer months there seems to be more...😉

Yes the dirty "downvoters"! You know the worse part?
So one day you say, enough is enough, let me downvote their posts...
And there isn't any... 😲
And you are right, people have left over this issue, I know of one myself. And I also was a victim twice.
They come in swarms, screw with your posts for about two weeks or so and then disappear again..

Thanks again and have a Very Amazing Sunday and New Week!

Hiya again! Yes, what's so curious and surprising to me is just how few whales put any focus at all on HBD in Savings. I was writing about that just today! It's one of my top priorities!

All good, they'll be there! Bastyon can be used via their mai website, as well as by desktop and mobile apps. In its present form Qortal requires a computer, or at least a Raspberry Pi, with Java installed.

I agree on that point completely! I know Hive will explode at some point, and with so many ways to generate income and grow here, I want to do so as much as possible before that happens! For people in poorer areas, Hive is a life raft, a way to lift themselves above their local economic conditions.

Time, yeah, it's a bugger for me too. I need more of me, more time, or probably both!

It's good to know that the downvoters do their thing in waves, then wander off again. I've only had very small issues with it, thankfully.

You're always very welcome, certainly! Thank you! Have a spectacular Sunday! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Hello My friend @elizabethbit !
It rained from Thursday to today,
Wow!
No, the Kitties are still at the old house, and I am still visiting almost daily. I am hoping as it gets cooler they will be a bit easier to move.
Right now, if I'm feeding them - they are OK.. but...
When the food is gone, they move and stay about a foot out of reach...
They were friendlier when I lived there...🤔
But I do think Koala and Sable do look for me when I am not there...
Let's hope for the best!

Thank You on the "Step Count" and wishing You an Amazing Mid-Week!

I'm glad that you're getting a break in the rain! I know how it is when it rains over the course of many days, as it does that here too during winter. Sometimes an entire week can be cloudy with torrential rain.By that point, all we're wanting is sun! Have a wonderous Wednesday! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Thank You, and your right - a break! It will start again this weekend!
I guess "Tropical Weather" is the same everywhere. Here it only rains in late fall, winter, and early spring. In the summer it won't rain a drop, even if it looks like it.
And it gets "real hot", weeks of 100+!

Thanks again, and hoping you are not dealing with the rains currently!
Happy Thursday to you my friend!

Absolutely, you're very welcome! Haha...yes, I know how that is so well! That's so interesting about the rain pattern there! Here, because this part of the Island is so new, it's just porous lava beneath us, so no matter how much it rains, it will not flood here, as all the water just goes straight down into the lava. This also means that we don't have any streams, rivers, ponds, or lakes here. Because of that, if it doesn't rain for every few days, all the plants start getting stressed and curling their leaves. I remember heat like that when I lived on the mainland. It doesn't get anywhere near that hot here!

Sure thing, you're most welcome! Nope, we could actually use more rain lately, as it's been a bit dry. Thank you! Happy Thursday! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

That's pretty different, but I guess it would be...
I am on beach sand, and it does flood - but curiously there are people here with wells, but I think it's not for drinking...

Yes it gets "HOT" here, but I am further south than half of Mexico, so warm by default... Which I do prefer to a NJ winter, which would probably kill me at this point.
Your lucky it stays cooler there, hopefully just as warm in the winter though...

Thank You my friend and have an Amazing Friday!

Yep, living here is very different to any other place I've lived, that's for sure! We had a well in the farm in New Jersey, and the water tasted great!

I will always take heat over cold, though I really just prefer a climate that is just comfortable all year round, which is is here most of the time. It does get a little chillier in winter, but nothing a cozy blanket can't fix!

You're always very welcome, absolutely! Thank you! Happy Friday to you! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Good deal! This place is (honestly) like NJ around 1970...
And that is no joke, except "No Winter"!

I myself also prefer warmth to cold, but that is fir me personally...
I have so discovered - in Europe...
People who live in cold are "Much" friendlier, compared to people in warmer climates.
At least it seems that way here.

Wonderful.New Week to you my friend!
I will het to the other replys tomorrow, running nehind again...🤷🏼‍♀️

That's so interesting to hear! Such a fascinating comparison! Yep, I'm fine with no winter!

Hrmmm...that's also a very interesting observation! People in Costa Rica were usually super kind and generous. I'll have to pay more attention to that!

Thank you so much, and very likewise! May your new week be magnificent!

All good, I still have a lot to do on Hive tonight, and I'm also running behind...lol! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Hello there,.and yep...
I think a NJ winter would kill me right now. I don't know how my siblings do it!
😉😄😅

Well, here people are honestly the "least nice" of anyplace I have been. It was nicer (people) before though - and now it's a game of "how long have you been here and who do you know"...
And if you don't check those two boxes right... They are not very friendly at all. If on top of that you decide to not speak with some "Texas jorgon, or accent or something", your pretty screwed here...
Funny I had thought of moving to Costa Rica myself, a few times...

WishinYou a Great holiday week!
Stay Safe!
And yep, I am behind myself!

I don't think I'd fare well in a NJ winter either any longer, not that I fared very well originally! Cold and I just do not go well together at all!

I've heard that about certain places, but not usually southern places. Most of the time when I hear of rude people its referring to people in the northeastern US. I mean there are friendly people and assholes everywhere, but they do seem to congregate together in certain regions. My dad still swears that the people in NJ are the rudest anyway (and he still lives there...LOL).

I miss Costa Rica. I lived and traveled there extensively for ten years, while I was married to my ex-wife, who was Costa Rican, and whom I met and married there.

Thank you! I hope you deeply enjoy yours! Haha...yep, I'm presently a day behind, and I hope to be fully caught up by the time I go to sleep! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Yeah, honestly unless you have a "bunch of money" there is not much reason to live there. Of course (like with my family, they are hypnotized...)

Well, Your right the Northeast is a very rude place. What makes it worse (than most places) is that the people are pretty aggressive..First thing I noticed when I returned from Europe. Aggression - Steady, and they don't even notice...🤔

And yep,.there are assholes all over - it's a part of the times I guess...
However here the same game exists except, they will take a while lot longer bringing it to you. Or, letting it be a thing you will notice.
I discovered (with time) that eliminating alcohol from my life cut this "way down"...😉😅😂
This is Texas, and no better entertainment (for them) is screwing someone around, and I am serious about that!

Now I like the Costa Rican wife story!
😉😅😂
Wanna know why? I am from NJ like you and live far away from there now, but...
I married a German and stayed there (a long time). No, we are not together anymore - but I am still good friends with her mom.
And this is a thing about people and places I learned from that...
First, most people (family and friends) knew she was "getting over on me", "None of them said a word".
The next thing, you can be "fluent" in another language..I am in German. They can still talk crap about you right in front of you and you may not catch it, as in using terms from childhood,.or teen years. To you (me) it's just funny...
The things you learn when it's all over...
Oh well, doesn't matter - time has moved on...

Thank You again and have a Amazing Sunday and New Week!

Well, I have never had a lot of money, though I'm building, growing, and saving a great deal on Hive, but I wouldn't want to live there again even if ai did. As you said, lots of zombie sleepers.

When I think of agressive Northeasterners, I think of NYC, as the most agressive people I've ever known (especially in driving) are from there.

Yeah, they don't sound like people with whom I'd like to interact at all. I have little tolerance for people that have nothing more inspiring to do in their lives than to mess with people.

I'm glad you liked the story...hehe. Your story is pretty wild too! I'm so not into people that talk shit about me behind my back or in a masked way in front of me, regardless of the language. Again, my tolerance for such asshats is very, very low. I am exceedingly picky about the people with whom I spend my time, and for good reason!

Absolutely, you're most welcome! Thank you, and very likewise! May your Sunday and new week be exceptional! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Ha ha ha!
Lately... After leaving Europe, and for sure after leaving NJ I never had a lot of money either - which at a minimum is 27 years here... But... If I had a "lot" of cash NJ would be good as a pitstop where I had a few things... Although it is rough... If you are "clearly" the one who has the say so... They become perfect ass-kissers and will command others to do the same! (*past... That is how screwed up they are...)😉

I found that the most aggressive parts of the Northeasterners was money (Texans are sort of in that way too). They will do whatever it takes - including not being nice about it to get into your wallet.
On the driving...
He he he he! (One of the things I do like about TX) Now on the islands, and suburban communities they are real sedate.. Drive slow, all that...
But get them to the highway...
It's NASCAR - full on. And since at least half of them should not be doing that, you got to be "on it"! In the northeast they are aggressive on the roads for sure... But at much lower (on average) speeds. And.... That guy driving 90mph next to you - and grinning,.may be in a lifted pickup - not a Camaro, or Honda. But...
I actually like that!
I had a Turbo Fiat with 6 Speed manual transmission... 130mph on the causeway over to Padre Island.. That's probably not happening driving from NJ to Staten Island....

Well actually I also do not like the "shit talkers, and bad mouthers" myself. And like you I have learned to veer clear!

Thanks again and wishing You a Amazing upcoming week!
Stay Safe!

The only thing that draws me to want to visit New Jersey again is to see how the various bamboos that I planted everywhere are doing. Even if I had a good bit of money, I'd invest in things like Hive, good computer and router technology, and probably plants too.

Living in the jungle now, I don't deal with any of the back-stabbing, aggressive nonsense, in money or driving, at all. People here can drive a bit fast at times, but nothing crazy.

Discernment with people, as with anything, is exceedingly important, especially now with everything weaponized to the degree it is.

You're most welcome, of course! Thank you! Have a marvelous Tuesday! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

He he he!
In late Spring, through early (very) fall I would like to visit - and may, but not next year. I actually do plan to go to a highschool reunion in 2026 to see who is still in the game!
And to visit a park I used hang around as a early teen..
But believe me, not a visit to see how great NJ is... I feel sorry for those people, especially the ones I am related to....

Well it's a funny thing there, that takes time to notice...
OK.. on the surface... This is another happy Caribbean (type) little island off the Texas coast, next to a few more...
It is "Totally Different" as compared to anywhere on the mainland...
That being said... It does have its own brand of "crap". Small scale for sure, secular absolutely - but there, and that's more from those who moved here than from those who have been here.
In Texas, a guy will pass you on the highway, in a pickup, dragging a trailer of crap, swinging wildly at 80 mph!

Yes it is a time of discernment, all the Vampires are out, and hungry!

Thank You once again and have a Amazing Thursday!

If you're going to visit Jersey, that's a good time period to do so! I was in and out of school so many times that I don't really have one 'class' like most people, so no reunions for me...🤣 I hope that you enjoy yours, though! Yeah, if I ever went back, I'd be far more interested in the nature and plants there than most people.

The Island where you live sounds more interesting than many places on the mainland! I have a reasonable understanding of Texas, as I lived there, too, for a few years, first near Dallas, in Plano, in East bumblefuck, and then finally in Austin.

Yep, exactly, vampires and zombies everywhere! Yet another reason that I live in the jungle!

You're very welcome, of course! Thank you! May your Thursday be exceptionally beautiful! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

Exactly!
Yes diehard New Jerseyians are Rough, and nowheres near as smart as they think...

Good your familiar with TX. The island I am on is in-between (Very South) South Corpus Christi and Padre Island, small...😉. A very good place to be!

I would "NOT" be here (in TX) if I did not live where I do. Some... (real Texans) call it "Mexico Already"! 🤣🤣🤣

The worse thing about the zombies is they think they are OK.. The Vampires pretty much know what they are doing. Some even tell you! 😲

Wishing You a wonderful Friday my friend! Take Care and Stay safe!

While there were beautiful things about New Jersey that I did appreciate, I just didn't vibe with living there.

Yep, I liked Austin way more than anywhere else in Texas that I lived or visited. I've never been to coastal Texas at all, though I've known people in those areas. It sounds like a marvelous island!

Yes, that is the most shocking thing of all, actually, for them to think that everything is hunky dory and fine, when it's so stupidly obviously not true. I'm no fan of the unconscious zombies or the conscious vampires...lol!
Thank you very much! I wish you a fantabulous Friday as well! May it be glorious for you! 😁🙏💚✨🤙

Hello there and Happy Sunday Night!

I think NJ is a "perfect place" to grow up - I truly do... But by 20 you should be gone or on the way.
Of course we did grow up in 2 different NJ's....I want to tell you.. In the 60's and 70's NJ was the place to be.
But like I told folks then because I could see the writing on the wall.. This is all going away... And it did...
But also, like you - I also never got the NJ vibe either. My brother and sister are "hooked". I they believe if they leave NJ they will die, I know my brother believes if he left Monmouth County he would die! He has barely left Middletown - his whole life, at 63! 😲
But due to "the nature of man"... I think NJ is the equivalent of "sink or swim" in the big picture - and "that" is a good quality to learn early in life.
Of course I am a guy who was in The Army at 17... But back out at 24+...!

Funny you mention Austin... It's the closest to hear that there is in TX. It is also a pretty forward thinking place... The rest of the state truly sucks!
Where I am at is only good because it "was" Mexico... So... People can yell and scream all they like... This place is 85% Mexican descendents, and the way its gonna stay, since they have 5 kids to 1.
But....
The advantage is that the Islands here are all more Caribbean than like the States... "Perfect"!
Otherwise I would be somewhere else!

You know... And it took me a long while to see things this way.. (Watch the Matrix😅) But I have come to this...
Some people have "NO" mental capacity to think... But they have all the rest, so in many cases they cannot concieve of anything, so they fight to keep their Insanity... They "truly" do not know any better, and since they are stupid - don't think they need to either...
And that's what I meant about NJ...
If you are wise... You will recognize this and "get the fuck out"! Cause in NJ I believe that the "pressure" is amense!
You know, you get the "wake up call" early. If you was in Oklahoma, for example there is a good possibility you never get it because there it is dug in "deep"! It's all they ever thought of, nothing else.. Other states as well.

Oh well, enough of that - "We" both escaped! 😅🤣😅

Have a Wonderful Sunday!
Stay Blessed, Happy, and Safe!

Hiya, thank you, and I'm only on Saturday night so far!

Growing up the way I did in rural SW NJ was overall a very good experience, and I'm very grateful that I had that base, but yeah, I couldn't live there! It's so funny to hear of people that not only never leave, but really love it there!

Yep, I very much appreciated Austin when I lived there. It was like an island in the middle of Texas. It does sound like you found a great spot on the island where you live.

Yeah, I'm picky about the people with whom I spend time, and for a good reason, my time is very valuable to me. This would be a reason for that.

I'm happy to no longer be in the NJ pressure cooker any longer!

Indeed we did!

Thank you so much again! Happy and beautiful Sunday to you! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

He ha ha ha!
You see where I am! 😂

That's what I mean! I also think that growing up - either in North NJ in the MTS. (For the first part), or on the Jersey shore for the second part was probably the best experience (at that age) I could get! From around 13 I became aware I need to leave...
And yes! It is amazing to talk to people who "Love It There"! My sister (and brother) think it's just the greatest place in earth. Or at least this, "it may be shitty, but the rest is worse" mentality. The kicker is about once a month or so I talk to my sister on the phone... The attitude that she has - or I hear, would not fly here. And they don't notice a thing.. They think something is wrong with you that your not on the bandwagon...🤔

Yes Amazing as it seems... Austin is like an Oasis in an otherwise totally different state. I am lucky to be here, that is for sure, as like Austin, when you leave the city (Corpus Christi) Texas changes, real fast.

Yeah me as well, have to be.. Besides time being valuable as a commodity of sorts... Other people's low energy vibes do rub off... Some even do it consciously..

Yes, I am also happy to not be in the NJ pressure cooker!
But like it sometimes is... "you gotta squeeze coal to get diamonds" and I know of no better press!😉😅😂

Thank you my friend!
Wishing You an Amazing New Week!
