My Actifit Report Card: August 5 2025 - Alive and Thriving Monday!

Hello friends and happy Tuesday evening to you and thank you for your visit!
This is a report for yesterday's activities, as you can see from the "step-count" and the clock,

I was at it until late - I did have hopes of breaking the "10,000 steps", but around 21:00 (9:00) p.m. I saw that that wouldn't happen - so I just decided to see how far it would go!
And so, on to the day!
I went through my normal morning routine and fed the Kitties at both houses.
I came home and had to go to the store. I liked the view across the Parking lot so I took a photo,

The Clouds are over the Channel, about a mile and a half away - 2.4 kilometers.
And another look at the "Exit" of the grocery store, that now is an entrance as well!

After that I left there and went home. I ate and then headed out on the Black bike, over to the Park.
Over there it was a bit overcast so most of the photos did not come out well, but I did get a few so you can see I was there!
Here is an interesting sight,

These are "all" Laughing Gulls (Seagulls). I did not know this before but the ones that are "tan" are females. The normal black and gray/white ones are male!

This is a photo of the female in the lower corner,

And here she is heading for the Fishing Pier,

Since it was pretty overcast and nothing new was showing up, I left the Park to get some "steps" in. This is heading down N.A.S. Drive,

It looks pretty interesting like there is the Sky with Clouds and then like someone "Splattered" on some others!
I went out to the highway and took a look. From where I was you could see the approaching Storm!

Well it started Sprinkling - though no real rain landed, I headed home so as to not get caught in it!
And the rest of the "step-count" was from house chores, etc...

I didn't know that the seagulls in tan were female, but it makes sense. Just look at the cardinals-the super red and beautiful ones are the males and the females are faded and drab in comparison.

We could use some rain here, and it tried tonight, but really rained just enough to mess up the dirt on the car, lol! Oh well!

Thank You @elizabethbit ! I think it's like that with all birds and funny - I never thought about it either! I live here almost 30 years and thought that they were another "Gull Species"! 🤷🏽‍♂️

I hope you get some rain soon!

Thank you @lesmann! The rain actually did turn into an overnight up until noon today thing. Now my car at least looks cleaner, !LOLZ
