Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge with Even Stevens

Splinterlands on of the best card battle game on hive blockchain. This week BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge is Even Stevens. This challenge is easy and also requires some basic understanding of cards and also player must have some strong even mana monster cards. In this ruleset only monsters with even mana costs may be used and this rule does not apply to summoners. As in this battle monsters with magic attack not used so Monsters with Ranged attack are very helpful so I decided to use some ranged attack monsters with high health. In this battle used "Cursed Windeku" as tank card having 10 health with thorns ability with 2 malee attack and 3 speed. In this battle I used two snipe ability cards and one demoralize and one scavenger ability card. This battle was high mana 99 so I decided to use some strong back line cards. This battle was death vs dragon summoners.

1. Monsters with Magic attack may not be used in battles.

2. Only Common and Rare Monsters may be used in battles.

3. Only Monsters with even Mana costs may be used in battles.

As battle was high mana so I decided to use some extra abilities cards and also fill all spots. As in this battle only common cards used so I decided to use some strong back line cards having some extra ability. I used "Cursed Windeku" as tank with 2 malee attack, 10 health and thorns ability. On 2nd position I used "Phantasm" 3 malee attack and 8 health with return fire and flying ability. On 3rd position I used "Gelatinous Cube" No attack and 12 health with heal and scavenger ability. On 4th position I used "Twisted Jester" 2 ranged attack and 4 health with snipe ability. On 2nd last position I used Octopider 4 ranged attack and 7 health with demoralize ability, so it reduce one malee attack from every every enemy monsters. On last position I used Mantoid 3 ranged attack and 5 health with snipe ability. I am very happy with my team and if my tank card survives then my other cards will destroy the enemy team back line monsters. Let’s discuss my team one by one.

Cursed Windeku

I used Cursed Windeku Rare Death Unit as a tank card. This card has 2 malee attack and 10 health with thorns ability. I used this card on tank position in all mana fights as this card is very helpful with thorns ability with high health. This card is the best choice for tank card in all mana battles.

Phantasm

On 2nd position I used Phantasm Common Death Unit as 2nd tank tank card with return fire and flying ability. I always use this card in all mana fights because of its high health. Hope this card could trigger some extra damage with its return fire ability on every turn.

Gelatinous Cube

On 3rd position I used Gelatinous Cube Common Neutral Unit. This card has no attacks and 12 health with scavenger / heal ability. I always used this card as my back line card as this card increase its health on every turn.

Twisted Jester

On 4th position, I used Twisted Jester Rare Death Unit. This card has 2 ranged attack and 4 health but this card's snipe ability is very strong. So hope this card perform well and do maximum damage to enemy back line monsters.

Octopider

On 2nd last position I used Octopider Rare Death Unit. This card has massive 4 ranged attack and 7 health with demoralize ability. I always used this card as my back line card so it reduce 1 malee attack from every enemy monsters.

Mantoid

On last position, I used Mantoid Common Neutral Unit. This card has 3 ranged attack and 5 health but this card's snipe ability is very strong. So hope this card perform well and do maximum damage to enemy back line ranged attack monsters.

So my strategy in this battle was very simple as in this battle I mostly rely on my snipe cards. I used "Cursed Windeku" as a tank card so hope this card do some extra damage to enemy with its thorns ability. If my tank card survives some rounds then hope my other cards could eliminate enemy's back line monsters. My heal and snipe ability cards are very strong so they can do some damage to enemy back line monsters cards. I think in this battle my healer card "Gelatinous Cube" performed well as no attack so could not survive. Also hoped that my cards could not miss any attack and did proper damage to enemy back line monsters. Overall my entire back line cards did 9 ranged and 3 malee attack damage to enemy team. This battle lasted for 9 rounds.

My strategy not worked in this battle as my enemy brought brought better team with some high speed monsters. Our today's battle challenge with "Even Stevens" not completed successfully as my monsters cards miss to many attacks. I liked this new change of weekly battle challenge from monsters to ruleset, so we can learn some new methods how to tackle enemy in any specific ruleset. You can watch this battle on My Battle link.
