Battle Mage Secrets Weekly Challenge with Rise of the Commons

Splinterlands on of the best card battle game on hive blockchain. This week BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge is Rise of the Commons. This challenge is easy and also requires some basic understanding of cards used in battle. In this ruleset only common and rare units may be used in battles. Summoners are unaffected by this rule. In this battle I used "Diemonshark" as tank card having 8 health, 6 shield and 3 malee attack with enrage / trample ability with some extra abilities like blast. This blast ability adds on every friendly monster. In this battle I used one martyr ability card. This battle was very low mana 14 so I decided to use some strong back line cards. This battle was water vs dragon summoners.

1. Only Common and Rare Monsters may be used in battles.

2. Summoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities.

3. All Monsters have the Blast ability.

As battle was very low mana so I decided to use some extra abilities cards and also try to fill all spots but no succeeded. I only fill two spots in 14 mana. I used "Diemonshark" as tank card with 3 malee attack, 6 shield and 9 health and trample / enrage ability. On 2nd position I used "Venari Marksrat" 1 ranged attack and 4 health with martyr ability. So if this card dies my tank card gets +1 to all stats. I am very happy with my team and if my 2nd tank card eliminated then my tank card increase his stats. Let’s discuss my team one by one.

Diemonshark

I used Diemonshark Rare water Unit as a tank card. This card has 3 malee attack, 6 shield and 8 health with trample and enrage ability. I used this card on tank position in all mana fights as this card is very helpful with these two abilities with extra blast ability. This card is the best choice for tank card in low mana battles.

Venari Marksrat

On 2nd position I used Venari Marksrat Rare neutral Unit with martyr ability. I always use this card in all mana fights because of this card dies other card gain +1 stats to all. Hope this card eliminate quickly and my tank card gets increase stats.

So my strategy in this battle was very simple as in this battle I mostly rely on my tank card. I used "Diemonshark" as a tank card with heavy stats and hope my enemy also brought malee attack monsters so my tank card shield works well in this battle. I used 2nd tank card with martyr ablity so this card also help my tank card to survive longer. If my tank card survives some rounds then hope my enemy gets some massive damage. I hoped that my cards could not miss any attack and did proper damage to enemy back line monsters. Overall my entire back line cards did one ranged and 3 malee attack damage to enemy team. This battle lasted for 4 rounds.

My strategy paid off and my all cards performed well. Our today's battle challenge with "Rise of the Commons" successfully completed. In this battle my enemy team also brought some team with same monster cards. So this battle was Diemonshark vs Diemonshark with two cards at back end. In this battle my good luck that my enemy miss more attacks so that is why I won this battle in 4th round. I liked this new change of weekly battle challenge from monsters to ruleset, so we can learn some new methods how to tackle enemy in any specific ruleset. You can watch this battle on My Battle link.
